Earlier today, I spent $90 at Whole Foods. And I don't have three children. The same groceries would have been half that at Trader Joe's. yeah, i was feeling the sting when i was there. my friend and ilived in a hotel room for a week and we opted to go to the King Soopers nearby cos you could ring yourself out. that was its one redeeming quality.

ask around, maybe someone will point you somewhere. hit up my friends, divineepiphane and twiggypiggy they would know what's up.

What about local chains and co-ops? In my experience they tend to have better quality produce anyway.

I've been looking online for co-ops and such, and they just don't exist here like they do in Portland. They have community gardens, where you can grow your own vegetables, but I have a big yard to do that in once it becomes feasible. There are some local stores, such as the Sunflower Market, but their prices aren't any better, and are in some cases worse, than Whole Foods. I'm still looking, but I'm damn frustrated.

I've been here less than a week, though, so I need to give myself tme to figure it out.
