Salad!

Okay, we came to a compromise. His name is Salad, but other people who don't like it or aren't comfortable with it can call him "Sal" for short.

Of course, we aren't letting his foster parents know we're changing his name. For all we know, they named him. They should be here within the next half hour or so.

Sal can be short for Salvatore. It's kinda like salad. Plus, he'll get street cred with all the other dogs on the block for having a tough-sounding name.
