Has anyone else ever heard that the first spotting of those bright, pale yellow butterflies signifies that the first freeze of winter will be in 6 weeks? I kept tally last year and it was pretty close. Yesterday I saw one of those butterflies, so let's see if we don't have a freeze by October 7. I want it to be ridiculously frigid.
