[Character Name] Koki Kariya
[Canon] The World Ends With You / Subarashiki Kono Sekai
[Point Taken from Canon] At the start of Day 3, during the 3rd week of the game (when Uzuki's off harassing Neku and Beat, gotta wonder what Kariya here was doing on his own).
[Age] 19
[Gender] Male
[Sexual Orientation] hetero
[Eye Color] brown, on the chocolate side (or more specifically, the same color as that lollipop of his)
[Hair Color] bright, blazing orange
[Height] pretty tall, maybe around 5'9" - 6'
[Other] nothin' to add
[Clothing] Kariya sports a white wife beater underneath a sleeveless black vest with a simple print of a human ribcage (I kid not) blazed across the front, grayish-brown slacks, and white loafers. Accessories include a belt chain in the shape of what appear to be a row of snowflakes (idk), and a pair of lightly tinted shades. He keeps that wild hair of his in some semblance of order with hairpins, and always, always has a lollipop with him. Also, because he's a Reaper, he has a pair of black wings.

[Background] ~ copypasta'd from the app ~
Official version on the TWEWY wikia over
here And since I got bored, here's a lovely SUMMARY:
Koki Kariya is a Reaper, one of the on-field officiators in charge of harassing Players during the Reapers' Game. He works in tandem with Uzuki Yashiro, and despite their being as different as fire and ice, they make one heck of a team. Throughout the Game, they harass Neku and his partners, as per their job obligations, but when things start to get crazy (in Week 3), Kariya recognizes the need for the Players' help and so gives them his assistance. To some degree, he realizes that the O-Pins given to them by the Conductor, Megumi Kitaniji, are linked to the slow-but-steady zombification of Shibuya; but before he can do anything about it, he and Uzuki fall under the pin's control. In his last appearance, he fights Neku and Beat as a boss (along with Uzuki) in Day 5. Both he and Uzuki are knocked out afterward. The pair is spared from erasure when Beat convinces Neku that the two Reapers would not have fought them if they had they been in the right frame of mind.
Kariya's background prior to the game is never mentioned, but it has been implied that he's been a Reaper for a much longer time than Uzuki.
[Personality] ~ also copypasta'd from the app ~
So Kariya here is really laid back. If you're stuck on a street at rush hour, being pelted left and right by people who seem perpetually in a hurry, you'll notice that he's the one guy who bothers to stop and smell the roses.
He's a standout as a Reaper because, unlike his more ambitious peers, he maintains an air of indifference when it comes to assignments, the points system, and his rank. He's a total underachiever in all appearances, and is fully aware of it - proud of it, even, in his own careless way - so how is possible for him to have lasted this long?
First: while he doesn't care one whit about the rules and regulations, he actually does make an effort to do his job properly (most of the time). Second: he's actually pretty perceptive. And Third: he may not look it, but this guy's got Officer-class skills. To make things more interesting, Kariya turns his assignments - and most situations, really - into "games" which he and Uzuki bet on. He likes fieldwork possibly because he's somewhat attached to Shibuya and the diverse cultures it plays host to (Uzuki once mentioned that she "loves Shibuya as much as he does" and Kariya himself states this as the reason for his declining a promotion). I guess this can also mean that each Game has a new crop of Players that is always different from the last, so for him, this is what makes the job worth doing.
Unlike Uzuki who is eager to please, Kariya here can't seem to find the motivation to exert himself for his superiors. He is neither outwardly rude nor overly courteous, and the closest he's come to in-your-face disrespectful was towards Week 3 Game Master Mitsuki Konishi, when he commented on her methods while she was handing him his assignment ("Picked a hiding place yet? Must be fun to run.").
Kariya's temper is as slow as his partner's is quick but one surefire way to piss him off is to trick him into wasting his time - or leave him out of the loop. The one time he's shown irritated was in Week 3, when Konishi duped him with a fake pin and used him to stall Neku and Beat. To conclude: Kariya would rather be in on it than an uninformed 3rd party, so it might be a good idea to confer with him before getting him involved. He's never directly expressed anger during the course of the game but hey, there's always a first time for everything.
LAST PARAGRAPH I PROMISE: Out of all the Reapers, Kariya is the only one who seems to follow some kind of code of honor. For example, after acknowledging the duping incident stated above, he not only apologizes to Neku and Beat, but also helps them out despite the possible consequences (it's against the rules for Reapers to help Players). To him there is no distinction between "Player" and "Reaper" other than those being positions in the Game; when it all comes down to it, everyone's human and so he treats everyone he encounters with the same level of casual interest.
[Specialties/Abilities] ~ moar copypasta for EVERYBODY ~
As a Harrier Reaper, Kariya can create and dispatch Noise - it's your standard Reaper ability for harassing the Players. When he and Uzuki team up, they can form a pact and are capable of using a light puck much like Players do.
Other than that, this guy has strong analytical skills, which is probably why he's managed to last so long as a Reaper despite his less-than-stellar work ethic. If there's something going on behind the scenes he'd probably get a sense of it. Whether or not he decides to investigate further however is another matter entirely.
[Affection]
I wouldn't label Kariya a "people person" per se, but if someone said hi to him, he'd be happy to say hi right back and engage in some small talk (or a flirtation if that's the intention - main point is he won't turn anyone down unless they creep him out in some profound way 8|). The friendliness is up to a certain point though, so cross that and he'll probably do some major deflecting. He likes his personal space and so should you. =]
[Fighting]
Kariya could probably put up a decent fight against a fair opponent (and pull out some tricks of his own on an unfair one), but he'd most likely be putting his all into avoiding a serious battle rather than looking for one.
In the event that he actually does get caught up in a fight, he'd be looking for a way to end the battle as quickly as possible. He'd rely more on smarts and strategy rather than brute strength.
[Other Permissions]
Telepaths, feel free to invade Kariya's mind! Just know that he may figure out a way to sense when someone's trying to probe into his brain; probe the wrong memory and you just might win a neat little ticket to the Angry Koki show. Or some weird, but throughly-thought-out plan for revenge.
For the fourth wall thing, I think Kariya's quick enough to be a fourth wall breaker himself so he probably wouldn't be too surprised by an influx of new information. There are a couple of things I want to try though...so it might be best to keep this to a minimum.
Another thing: if anyone here supports Kariya x Uzuki/Konishi/etc, then please feel free to express this through your characters. I'd love that. (I'm playing him straight though so please do honor that limitation =3)
[Other Facts] ~ no such thing as too much copypasta ~
Those betting games that Kariya has with Uzuki? He usually winds up the winner. Yeah. But it is never explained if this is due to A) his perceptiveness, B) him just knowing Uzuki that well, or C) some form of luck.
He likes lollipops. Probably. On account that he almost always has one with him whenever he makes an appearance.
He probably likes ramen too since this is what he and Uzuki like to bet for (plus she once bribed him with an offer to buy him a bowl in order to get him to help her fight Neku and Beat in Week 3).
For some reason, most people refer to him as "Kariya", his surname (even Uzuki, who has the closest relationship with him, calls him this). I guess this can mean that he's friendly enough to most people, but maintains some kind of distance to prevent things from getting too personal. Or maybe he's just the type of person whose surname suits him better than his given name. /shrug
Also, in case anyone was wondering... My official stance on the lollipop vs. bean paste thing? It's a lollipop and it's bean-paste-flavored. =D
