I believe we, as humans, are inclined to be selfish towards things that we like, so I agree with you here. We are entitled now and then to our jealousy.

And ranking is definitely absurd. I used to rank friends like a lot of people did when i was in elementary school. I changed ranks every day, basically, until I figured out that it was getting me nowhere. So I stopped.

Sorry I didn't reply any sooner, everytime I kept trying something came up.

Jenny Peet, you're only human.
You always seem the type who wanted to be different from that.
"No love", etc.
To me, you're a strong girl. Quite bold and brave!
Jealousy is a part of us. We can't help our jealous natures.
Ranking, is subconcious at times. Even though it CAN be shallow, but I believe it's even more shallow if the intention was something of ill judgement.
Sometimes people rank for the fun of it,
sometimes out of pure judgement,
but other times it can also help the individual straighten things out.
Kind of organize.

"Maybe I'm just being influenced too much, maybe I'm too willing to change to please those around me."

To me, I believe you're influential.
