Mal & Inara are so cute. I can't really stretch my brain far enough to picture them ending up together, but it's fun to watch them angst.

And poor Doctor! You left this chapter in a dangerous place!

Now I want to read Mal/Inara fic like crazy. Just..those two. This makes me think this story will not be AU in any way, and leave both universes to do what they have to do. Which is sad for the Doctor and Rose. Fine for Mal and Inara since she'll end up back there later. You do write them beautifully. Although Mal and the Doctor may be my favorite. I cannot wait until they see the TARDIS. Mal is likely to freak out. And it will be amazing.

Wellll, I won't confirm or deny the AU-ness of the story at this point in time. You'll just have to wait and see :)

As for Mal and the TARDIS, OMG! I'm writing that chapter right now and looooving it.

Lovely. I like that Hugo and Manuel stay behind to work with the resistance, and that Mal assumes the Doctor is crazy and thus not a threat.

The awkward moment with Rose's dress was great. I'm very curious to see if the Doctor goes to her or avoids her.

And Mal and Inara! So sad. Love that they share a pomegranate. MAL NEEDS TO LEARN TO SHARE. ;) Less angst for everyone. Hopefully there's some midway point for the two of them?

Also: That girl seemed to have found ways of traveling around the ship that defied the laws of physics.

Ok wow!!! I was in and out of internet range this weekend so I'd load a couple of your chapters at a time to hold me over till I went back into town. I'm pretty sure my roommate was getting tired of my obsessing over this fic and where it's all going and how great it is.

Well I finally made it home and I read the last 9 chapters through straight. I'd always seen this posted in the time and chips community and always smiled at the clever icons, but for some reason I never clicked on it. I'm so happy I finally did!!!

This story has inspired my (early) annual re-watch of Firefly, so this chapter in particular, hit me hard. I really wish the show had stayed on long enough to give me some sort of Mal/Inara closure. (Serenity was no help at all!!) I love what you did here. You do the Firefly parts so well that it almost makes me wish this was completely Firefly and NOT Doctor Who, because I want to keep reading it. But then you write a Doctor/Rose scene and that's all I want too! ;) You're messing with my head and heart. heh But in a good way, I promise.

Yeah, Serenity was fairly vague on the Mal/Inara front looking back, wasn't it? (Plus, so many traumatic things happened in that movie, I tend to pretend it didn't happen)

But wow, thank you so much for the compliments! I've written a few DW stories, but this is my first FF fic, and I'm surprised by how much I enjoy playing with these characters :)
