I think I'm back

Jan 03, 2010 07:43

I've missed writing here, but I think I needed to get through this last year on my own. There was a time early on last year where I felt like I needed to talk or write about it frequently, but I honestly got talked out. It was very difficult for me to put into words what I was feeling after a while, and to be honest I got very tired of trying. I ( Read more... )

Yay, I'm so happy for you and the kids. A new year and a new decade...nothing but possibilities lie ahead for you.

I'm glad you're back.

Welcome back! I have missed you on LJ. I can understand why you needed to be away from it though. I am glad you are doing well.

I experience loss last year too, one of my best friends, although it cannot even come close to losing a spouse. My experience with others was a bit different though. I had people tell me to just get over it and to not dwell. I had very few people I could even confide in so writing in LJ about it was one of the few outlets I had, and even then I felt the need to filter.

Here is to a better, brighter, and happier 2010!

*Hugs*

I think people who tell you how to handle what you're feeling mean well... but everyone is different and need to handle things in a way that helps them the most. One thing I found that helped me sort things out for myself was a website called griefshare.org. They have some daily emails that are great.

Thanks for the welcome back Lynn :)

I am amazed at your strength, and proud to be your friend. Also, I can't tell you how happy I an when I get to tell people about "my best friend Shan that I've known for almost 20 years".

I am a lucky person to have you in my life.

Hi Stan! I did see that you had moved to Plymouth. I can definitely understand why you'd love it there... it's one of my favorite places in New England too :) I'm going to try to come up for a long weekend in August, maybe I'll get a chance to say hello while I'm there.

Thank you :) I really hope things start looking up for you too. I don't know exactly what you're going through, but I know exactly what you mean when you say you haven't stayed put on one emotion long enough to explain it to anyone. *Hugs*
