Alright, so stayed up last night doing something I've been meaning to do, and that is listening to all the L'arc~en~ciel CD's I bought in Japan and I made my best of including a top ten.

Top Ten
1. forbidden lover - ark [1999]
2. Eien - SMILE [2004] (translation)
3. Lost Heaven - Awake [2005] (translation)
4. Kuchizuke - SMILE [2004]
5. Blame - Tierra [1994] (translation)
6. HONEY - ray [1999] (translation)
7. Kasou - ray [1999] (translation)
8. NEO UNIVERSE - REAL [2000]
9. Shutting from sky - DUNE [1993] (translation)
10. Anemone - Clicked Singles Best 13 [2001] (translation)

Other good songs are:
HEAVENS DRIVE - ark [1999]
(both the original and the live version bonus track on the American AWAKE release.)
Lover Boy - SMILE [2004]
STAY AWAY - REAL [2000]
I'm So Happy - The Best of L'Arc-en-Ciel c/w [2003]
My Dear - Awake [2005] (translation)
Ibara no Namida - ray [1999]
Larva - ark [1999] with Butterfly's Sleep - ark [1999]
Floods of Tears - DUNE [1993] (translation)
bravery - REAL [2000]
Cradle - ark [1999]

Holy crap that took a long time.

I don't even have time right now to explain why these songs are good. Lyrics are always good, even with the random engrish thrown in. Their music, although poppy at times is really good.

Note: If there's a laruku.org link for the lyrics you'll have to do a little clicky clicky to find them. The lyrics to bravery are worth looking up if you're interested. I was surprised by them too. It's a great song musically, but I had a feeling something was up because the guitar had a Komm, Susser Tod cat screech to them, that's never a good sign when japanese things start screeching. XD

The rest of them are pretty self explanatory, but they're still great. I still agree with X that ark is pretty much the best album. But ray had a lot of great ones too that I hadn't realized before. And after listening to them all, it annoys me that people down SMILE so much. I'd have to say it's the best album musically. They were more rock on it, so you know haters in America, go figure. It's so sad to me, that half the reviews at least, are all like, "I luv L'arc, I got into them because of Ready Steady Go!!" woo hoo. They need to listen more, you know besides the anime theme songs. The theme songs seem like nothing next to their other music, at least to me. But you know, I'm a rabid fan. *RABID RABID*

I did find out that out of 14 albums, I'm only missing three =D Go me. I guess I should finish getting all the Tool albums before I run out and get those. ^_^; I still have a Hyde one to get too, his first one.

All in all awesome. If you read, thanks for reading my rambles about a band you may care nothing about. WUTEVA WUTEVA, IT'S MY JOURNAL I DO WHAT I WANT.
