After spending a fortune in shipping back and forth with online retailers trying to find just the right shoes, I discovered that not only does Zappos have a brand of shoe that I love (Kenzie) but has free overnight shipping. And free shipping if you send it back. I really can't believe I haven't ordered from them before

zappos is amazing, i get most of my shoes from them. you have a YEAR to send a pair back for a full refund!

I *heart* Zappos. Their service is incredible and their selection is crazy huge. Not to mention the free shipping part. In fact, I just ordered a pair of shoes from them YESTERDAY afternoon, and they were at my door TODAY. Amazing.

Also, if you order from the "couture" section of their site, you get a handwritten note a few weeks later thanking you for your purchase! How's that for service?

There are a couple of other retailers trying to get in on the online-shoe-biz action (Piperlime.com by Gap Inc. and Endless.com by Amazon), but I think they won't take much of Zappos' market share. The only complaint I have about Zappos is their aesthetically un-pleasing front page. It looks like it was designed in 1999 and hasn't changed since (or else they keep adding crap to it..).

Yeah, the web page is bad (though not as bad as some of the smaller shoe companies!). But yeah, I'm really impressed.

It's where I ordered my Stacy Adams from... I ordered it on a Saturday and they arrived Monday afternoon. That was just simply amazing.

Amanda is very right though. The site is pretty ugly. Functional, but ugly.
