Wal-Mart Fail

Feb 16, 2019 21:08

I went to Wal-Mart today (on a Saturday, I know... but I had my headphones and I was just casually doing a little shopping).

One of the things on my list was ink for my printer. Now I'd rather buy it elsewhere, but that store isn't open conveniently, so I decided to buy it at Wal-Mart.

Wal-Mart has two sizes of ink (regular and XL), but three prices ( Read more... )

That is not right. They should have honored the lower price if they put the ink in the wrong place. I'm sorry that you had to deal with that.

Psst, you have stuff to download from Dropbox.

They should have. And if they wanted a satisfied customer they would have.

Oh man. My bad. We had no internet/cable all week. And then I forgot to check when it got fixed.

Bad storm went through on Tuesday and literally put a tree branch through our line.

Yikes! That must have sucked. Glad you're back online now.

Oh it's been a week, I'm telling you.

Last Saturday: Threw my back out again.

Tuesday: Home from work resting from the back and the storm goes through

Wednesday: Co-worker/Co-teacher gets sent home with "chest pains" (she has an ulcer)

Thursday--kid argues with me over a test question in night school so I sent him to the office (40 minutes later he's STILL arguing with our director).

Friday--I felt horrible and had to stand for an hour in the gym for an assembly. Didn't want to ask to go home because we had like 5 teachers out.

Then Wal-Mart today. Oh and on top of Wal-Mart, the tech who fixed out line--left the broken line laying in the middle of our driveway.

Speak to the store manager and if they don't help you want the district manager. They have to honor the price. And if they really get rude you still have the picture you call the local news station.
Years and years ago when the handheld Gameboys 1st came out and they were $99 we were at Sears and my son wanted one. I said they were too expensive and he said no mom they're $10. I walked over and there were 2 of them marked at $9.99 and they had to sell them both to me for that price.

If I go back on Monday and they have some still marked and in that section... I will be going to a manager. Because she put the price BACK after I argued about it.

Okay, yeah, that's not on. They should have honored it. I don't blame you at all for being pissed off.

Nope not at all. Like I said, if I go back Monday and they STILL won't honor the price... I'll be requesting a store manager. And then taking it higher.

I wish I could say this surprises me but since it's Wal-Mart not so much. Sorry

I can't really say it surprises me either... just kinda... cherry on a shit cake for the day (Week? something like that.)

My week in brief:

Last Saturday: Threw my back out again.

Tuesday: Home from work resting from the back and the storm goes through; knocking down about 8 tree limbs and taking out our cable.

Wednesday: Co-worker/Co-teacher gets sent home with "chest pains" (she has an ulcer) meaning I have to cover ALL but one of her classes for the day and then the classes we co-teach for the week.

AND someone went after one of my friends for a trope in a fic she wrote for me.

Oh lord. I've had weeks like that. I hope your back is feeling better.

OMG to the trope. Some times fandom makes me weep

Yeah. It was a WEEK. It is and it isn't? Pretty much as long as I don't DO anything... it's good. And anything includes walking, standing, carrying a book. So you know... my job.

It was really ridiculous. To make it even worse. The person apologized to ME, but not to my friend. I did enjoy going full metal b***** on the person though.

I loathe Wal-Mart. I don't go there unless it's the only place available (as at my friend's place, where that's the only shopping store around for about 50 miles). Ugh.

It's pretty much like that here now... We do have a Target, but the prices are ridiculous. And we've got something like SEVEN Wal-Marts in town.

Good grief.

I lived in a town in FL that refused to allow a Wal-Mart in their town. So Wal-Mart put up one on either end of the town just outside the city limits.

Yeah. It's ridiculous.

In NYC it's illegal to build a Wal-Mart within the bourough limits. I'm not sure why I know that (other than an evening spent looking up obscure laws when I was supposed to be studying).
