The funny anecdote I forgot to mention in my way-too-long-for-an-uncut-post post (and sorry about that--was at that internet phone and just typing away with really crappy monitor situation so I didn't throw in the cut tag

I find it hilarious that you made, then unmade the hotel bed. :D
I do know how you feel about the whole job situation. I went from 27K at a desk to McDonald's. But it is what it is. A job, and one way or the other you'll find out your potential.
Color me retarded but what does "proliferation of behavior points" mean?
That is so cool that you got to see the video of Alyssa in the snow!
People do tend to attach stigmas to certain jobs. But you have to remember how far you have come in your own life. Just taking this step is a really good sign. And either it will work out or it won't. It could be that you can work but at something different. It could be really great. Good luck!
Is it going to be FT or PT? I've worked at McDonald's twice. One time for 4 years (PT). I was called one of the "McDonald's Elite," by one of the managers, lol. They wanted me to be a manager, but I didn't want to have to take the time away from Leah, who was only 10 at the time. But the point is, there's opportunity for advancement, even in fast food. A shift manager that was there while I was, had only been a crew member for a year and a half before he got the manager position. He eventually became the store manager, and then the supervisor over two stores, and the last I heard, he owned them both. The one that called me the "elite" owns a store in another town. You never know.
Have you got any recent pictures of Allysa, or maybe a YouTube clip of her in the snow?
