I'm not even engaged yet, but after browsing catering prices for Snuffin's, I'm already alarmed at the price of my future wedding...eek. Any insight on how to have a decently affordable wedding in Gig Harbor?

we were thinking the San Juans, but isn't tradition to have it in the bride's hometown? plus my parents would probably be into having it at Chapel Hill. hmmm.
I know, prices here are ridiculous too. My best friend's sister is getting married at the one place that I'd love to get married (esp bc it's in my town) and she has to guarantee at least 200 people at $95 a head! And that's because she's getting married in April - if it was May through September it'd have to be 300 people. :\
ok that is *insane*! is that just for food? my town isn't that expensive, and I don't think there are minimum requirements (actually I think it's 100), but I can't imagine rounding up 300 people at $95 a head, that's almost $30,000!
Yeah, that's just the actual catering place. The band, photographer, everything else is seperate - now I'm starting to see why people get married in Vegas!!
