Well I've officially walked, but I'm not graduated quite yet. However yesterday morning I finished the last bits of the dissertation and today I get to hand it to one committee member (the other being out of town until next week). Bossman has given me the go ahead to hand those in though he hasn't yet said he'd sign it ( Read more... )

You're being neurotic and it'll be okay so long as you don't run off to the hills and join some survivalist cult.

I'm just sayin'.

Yay for walking! Yay for handing teh 3vil into the committee. Yay!

As for the rest of it - take a deep breath and revel in being done and having some time to play.

The rest of it will work out! The transition part is always hard and scary, but it's good to take all of the knowledge you've gained and experiences you've had and apply them to a new challenge.

You've survived the Ted-Beast, you can DO ANYTHING!!!

It WILL be okay, but you are not being neurotic. Some anxiety is normal during a big transition with uncertainty. But you will be alright.

You're welcome. And when you get back from Pennsic, Biotech Bay has 47 listings for "chemistry ph.d." (type keywords into "Narrow Search").

Congrats on graduation!

I pretty sure that the day after graduation you don't actually have to know what you're going to do next, despite the number of times people insist on asking you that question.

Take some downtime, enjoy Pennsic, don't worry.

I do think the fact that EVERYONE keeps asking me that, several times a week from some of them is not helping the nervousness. *Grin* Pennsic will be good.
