So I guess you can't reply anonymously to friends-locked entries.

umm you can't anonymously reply to friendlocked entries... HOWEVER, you can select the option to SCREEN comments and therefore only YOU and the commenter see them and not everyone else.. unless you reply, then the comment goes unscreened.
