You are not insignificant in any way. And anyway, it is not how many people you touch, it's in what way you effect their lives... quality not quantity. FOr the most part you have been a companion to help me keep going through the motions and to accomplish the things I need to do. That is how everyone is really. But you have also been there the few times (or many) when you've said something, or done something that changes the way I think or act. And the people I see on TV or hear on the radio, they help me to go through the motions, to reduce the monotony of life, but they never really "touch" me in the way that a friend like you can. So, don't compare yourself to all those other people, just know that you are an important part of my life and several other peoples' lives. And we will always love you and cherish our friendships with you. MUAH!

I was just seriously thinking about how much someone I don't know being sick effects me just as much as someone I do know. Isn't it weird that people we don't know can have such a large affect on us and so many other people they don't know> Even though quality is better than quantity. I think the sleeping pills I took that night made me really philosophical.
