Oh, lord, the complexities. Problem-solver-me immediately tries to think of really good cogent wise advice and fails to come up with any, which is probably just as well because you weren't asking for it.

I'm sure you already have your own 'round table' formats that work for you, but I just thought I'd mention that at times when I've been a lot of turmoil (I meant to write *in* a lot of turmoil, but I think I'll let that particular typo stand) a fistful of different-colored pens, a notebook, and a closed door has done wonders. I'm often surprised by how much better simply getting to express a viewpoint clearly and emphatically and.../visibly/...makes many of me feel. I start out by assuming that I/we need to reach a concensus, and discover along the way that just listening to myself goes a long way. It doesn't fix everything, of course...

Sorry. Rambling. You sound like you're all doing amazingly well at hearing each other as it is. Anyhow, good luck.

Thanks. Advice is always welcome. :) Yeah, our communication has improved lots over the last few years (we often use email or MUSH to talk :)). We even have a degree of respect for each other's lives. That seems to be its own can of worms right now but ultimately I think - if we can't give each other space to breathe, live, express, then we're just perpetuating our childhood on ourselves. Tempting as it is some days. :)
