My bf's family got me a Betty Crocker cookbook and a couple of non-stick skillets (I *heart* nonstick pans!) for Christmas. I've recently decided to try to cook something from it 1-2 nights a week. It's been fun so far. :)
eh, it's an excuse to hang out. Pick a recipe and an evening to come over, and chip in for at least half of the ingredients. Have you seen Firefly yet?
Good quality non-stick pans rock. I think the best $100 I've ever spent was on a Calphalon non-stick skillet. It does a great job cooking things with little to no oil, and it is the easiest thing ever to clean. :)
And mushrooms are yummy in pretty much anything. Damn it, now I want portabellas! (I've been avoiding them because portabella-and-lowfat-cheese sandwiches are one of my favorite low-calorie meals and I'm specifically trying NOT to lose weight at the moment.)
