How not to nationalize healthcare

I personally don't think nationalizing healthcare is a good idea. I feel this way for a number of reasons that I won't go in to here, because that would best be served as a topic for another post

That is messed up. Something like the Canadian health care system - where basic health care is nationalized - would be much better.

Here's a game I like to play:

• Assert that free markets are quite capable of doing almost anything worth doing, and the exceptions are not worth the costs and dangers of big government.
• Wait for someone to point out that too many Americans can't get basic medical treatment these days.
• Express mock amazement at how consistently the most heavily regulated and subsidized industry of all is held up as the outstanding example of market failure.
