It's an interesting variation, but I can't beat it. It might be lack of skill on my part, but I think success depends too much on how the stack is arranged.
That's how it goes at first. IF you keep at it, you'll eventually be beating it about one out of every 5 games.
There are many times when you can get a card on the board and it's not obvious at all. A good rule of thumb: If you draw an X, and there's an X+1 somewhere on the board, regardless of color, theres a good chance you can put the X up. So even if you draw a red 5 and you only have a red 6 available, there might be a way to rearrange piles on the stacks to free up a black or blue 6. You'd be surprised how often that happens.
