So, here's the thing - I figured since I really, really love listening to and sharing music - why not have a separate public post for all the music I upload? Instead of just confining my uploads to my flist, anybody can come in here and snag whatever :)

I love a lot of the artists you have up there. I was really surprised you had a song by Carrie. I have her album and it's been one that I have on repeat most of the time. She really does have the talent and I can see her going far like Kelly did, but not as widely liked because of her genre, sadly.

DLing the Utada song. I've always wanted to hear something by her since she's like this mega star in Japan.

I love them, too! (obviously.) I have... well, quite a few Carrie Underwood songs on my computer, including some of her Idol performances, her songs from the AI4 compliation album, and her cover of "Bless the Broken Road" (so so so gorgeous). She's ALREADY very successful in the country market, and while I do see her with some crossover pop appeal, I can't see her becoming Kelly V. 2 either. I don't WANT her to be Kelly V. 2, Kelly is... I dunno. She just seems a little "too" mainstream now and it shows in her music.

Ooh. Utada is amazing. "With Or Without You" isn't HER song - so - it'd be hard to judge her on that one, but I'd be happy to upload her original stuff (which is just beautiful!).

Oh, I never knew she did a remake of "Bless the Broken Road". That song always makes me cry even though I have no idea why.

Yeah, but what I love about Kelly is that, no matter how mainstream her music gets, her talent and amazing voice always shines through. There's no way anyone can say that girl can't sing! xD

No, I love KC, too! From her RESPECT performance in the Idol semi-finals up to now, I've never stopped supporting her. But for some reason... I don't know what it is - I can buy into her as a musician because she's just got the most fabulous instrument (her lives? are just... wow, wow, wow - have you heard her cover of "Home", "Why", or "Crimson and Clover?"). I DO like mainstream music, but that's just something about so many of KC's songs that get SO popular and overplayed they start to irk me after awhile.

You're welcome! I'm not a huge C-pop fan, like I said, but I ADORE David Tao, Sun Yan Zi, Wang Lee Hom, and Anson Hu. I used to like F.I.R., but that was befor their second album disappointed me completely and the third... oh god, the third. Just made me want to cry in a way that has NOTHING to do with being touching or good in the least bit.

I LOVE her too, but she's really... poured out some dreck after that hiatus, which just makes my heart cry a little bit. I think "Yu Jian" and "Wo Ye Hen Xiang Ta" are my favorite songs from her!
