you are listening to matisyahu! he is playing in paris in about a week, but i have never actually heard him before. would i like him?

hmmm...he's really interesting.

he's hassidic, reggae, and hip hop rolled into one.

his music is jewish, but not exclusive. the lyrics are more spiritual. (in that reggae sort of way). i really really enjoy him, more for his hip hop sensibilities--he's a crazy beat boxer. and his lyrics are spiritual without being cheesy, or crass.

see if you get your hands on some of his music (go to his website or something) and if it's not too expensive, i would go. (i am going when comes to jerusalem in about two weeks.) he's really unique, and nothing quite like him has ever happened in music before.
