On dual core processors - to prevent misinformation
I wrote this on some other game forum because people apparantly have a lot of misconceptions about multi cores and how this works and affects single core users (in short support for multi core doesn't affect single core users at all, can only benifit them):

Nice piece indeed and yes I read it because it been a point of discussion at work to go for a 4x multicore or a 8x single core server.
We finally decided to go for the 8x single core server, just because 2x4 will run efficiently as a 7x single core, for a multicore processor is a tad slower 2 single processors.
Also the program we will be running on it, is guaranteed to be fully stable on the single core processors by the supplier.
Server was delivered this week, (2 servers, both 8 processors) wish I could take it home!
Well uhm, it would be a nice toy I guess, dunno if my games will improve -that- much with it but hey just being able to say that you have a cluster server with 8 processors in your home would give you extra geekness points! =D
