I made this for the prompt "Spike goes to prison". It's hardly a manip and yet, one of my favourite ones. Go figure!

Wow! This is breathtaking! So very beautiful in it's raw melancholy. He looks so bare here. Pained and yet somehow peaceful as if he'd accepted the said pain as an inseparable part of who he is...

My manips are usually more 'happy' than that; I guess I was in a melancholy mood.

You know, if you feel so, you're really welcome to join nekid_spike: we don't have a lot of "Spuffy" artists there!

I guess I'm a bit of a sucker for the melancholy stuff, really. It just touches me, moves me for some reason. Not that I wouldn't enjoy all the shades and colors. In fact, now that I think about it, it's the variety that makes both happy and sad appear so powerful. So I'll correct myself and say that I'm a sucker for contrasts.

Um, and thank you for the nekid_spike tip. The name of the community seems familiar (I guess you don't forget things like that very easily) but ever since I started posting I've been a bit overwhelmed by the humongousness of this LJ world. There's just so much going on and I feel like I'm walking blind trying to figure out how and why and where and when to go.

But anyway, I'm most certainly going to join. If there's a person on this planet capable of resisting nekid Spike it most certainly ain't me... *g*

I'm really glad that you decided to join nekid_spike! Not preaching for my own chapel, but it's really a nice community ; you can post any manip/pairing there as long as Spike (or the monthly nekid guest) is in.

And yes, LJ's really overwhelming. I've just reached my first year here and I was totally lost in the beginning, discovering all the LJs and communities that interested me. Don't be shy, and never hesitate to ask, there's always someone who will be happy to answer.
