On Tuesday, I received the most gorgeous bouquet of flowers on my front porch. I brough them inside and the entire house was filled with the most wonderful aroma. Good smells always make me want MORE good smells so I decided to create my second favorite smell in this world...simmering pasta sauce! Hmmm...I wonder if you can get calories and nourishment by looking at food? ;) Thanks for the compliments though. I thought it at least looked nice on the place...good color, etc
I am not sure if it is the vodka in the dish or something else that leaves a funny taste in my mouth but I just don't care for it. This particular recipe (with her 1 cup of vodka!) had a VERY strong vodka taste...and I like vodka ;)
No, I only used 3 out of the 8 cups of the marinara for this sauce. I froze the rest of it for future experiments.
Oh, the flowers were just a surprise from a really good friend to say "thanks for being a friend" :) Such an absolutely sweet and thoughtful thing to do!

Sadly, it wasn't very yummy at all. :)

Nutella is heaven! Well, provided you like hazelnuts. It is very chocolaty (sp?) but you can definitely taste the hazelnut in it.
