Baby Benjamin (and the rest of my family) is sick.

Benjamin can't keep any food down. Started with a little spit up, just a bit more than normal. By 8pm, he was vomiting up everything he'd eaten (drank) in the last few hours. Poor thing is exhausted and every time he falls asleep he starts choking on vomit. First time he threw up, it was in his swing, so there goes the first none-flat sleeping ( Read more... )

Nurse-phoneline said to keep trying to give baby fluids (formula or pedialyte), even if he keeps throwing them up. Anyone want to help me do laundry?

If one of you can run out for the pedialyte, I'd stick with that. No nasty milk products to worry an already upset tummy.

That picture with the cat is hilarious. I said "awwww!" There's got to be a LOLcaption somewhere for that one. He looks nice and cozy, so heck, leave him where he is!

I hope you're all better soon!

Baby is holding down unflavored pedialyte at this point (Walgreens had mixed fruit, mango or unflavored; only one option as far as I'm concerned). Haven't tried formula again, yet. Doctor said not to be too concerned with nutrition, just getting his fluid balance back.
Basic intestinal ickies with a mild fever. Dehydration is the major worry and keeping the fever down. It's making his urine concentrated which is giving him a diaper rash. He's sleeping now and I'm keeping an eye on him. I think he is finally starting to get some hunger back because he's making a bit of noise.

Sounds about right. Hopefully it's just a little 24 hour bug and you'll all be over it soon.

If/when you're feeling better, feel free to come over to do laundry if you want to.

I think he'll be better by tomorrow. He's fever is going down (hovered around 100 for a while, but about 98 now). He hasn't vomited in several hours. Lots of sleep. And, his diapers are back to just about normal amounts. Plus, he pooed.
Jack got home from work and crashed on the couch.

Now, when am I going to get to catch up on my sleep?!
