Jane was my riding instructor for 5 or 6 years, until about a year and a half ago when she was diagnosed with liver cancer. She stopped giving lessons because she didn't have the energy because of the treatments. I visited her when I was home on breaks to catch up. She always asked about school because she loved that I was going for horses

I'm so sorry for your loss, Shannon. The great thing is that Jane's legacy lives on in the people she inspired, like yourself. She'll always be a part of you and everyone else whose lives she touched.
