That's one reason I like him. He doesn't just fall off the face of the earth after a campaign is done. I watched the A&E biography on him, and was impressed that, even after he won his senate seat, he followed through on his promise to spend as much time with his constituents as he could. His was also the only government office that would help me when I did a Girl Scout project in Arizona (sending holiday cards to servicemen).

If he weren't so close to retirement age, he could definitely focus on the next one -

but there is Palin - and it would be fantastic to see her take the leadership role in the GOP - everything she brought to the campaign this time around - just imagine what she can do given more time. Some people forget how short a time she had to get into the swing of things - the time between her nomination and the elections was... what? a few weeks?

I can't imagine a better pick than her - she was fantastic and they need to keep her at the forefront. She should become GOP leader, not just go back to Alaska (although i know she's got a committment to finish her term). I really hope we see more of her.

I hope so too... she got knowledgeable on the facts quickly and is young and bright.

I feel that they will keep her in the forefront... and if they don't, I put money on her clawing her way there.

With class.

nothing would make me, and many of my friends, happier. Been hearing roumers that she's being recruited for talk show hosting and other tv work. She should stay in politics.
