Wow. I read the wiki article, and that was a very disturbed lady. She would have been a wonderful (/sarcasm) addition to the Nazi regime.

A very well told story, I think you did an excellent job with her voice - the haughtiness and sense of entitlement comes right through!

Thank you! I have actually studied her and the stories about her for years now. This entry was a combination of several and I based it not just on those but on letters written by her to her children. She honestly had no remorse and had no idea what she did that was so wrong.

I was afraid of offending people writing as her though because of her take on things so I tried to be very careful.

I've never heard of her before, nor her story, nor the fact that there was a Code Noir. I read the Wikipedia link...it's a fascinating yet horrifying tale, and given the history, I'd say you no doubt pinpointed her views extraordinarily well.

Me too! I have gotten some interesting pictures from outside though. I'll have all kinds of ghost hunters (legit ones) investigate when I buy it., Because one day I WILL own it.
