People (including myself) take time for granted. We're always looking to the next big thing.

We are kids and can't wait go be a teenager.

Some of it is that time seems longer when you're younger. I used to say, when I was 30 and my daughter was 3, that I'd be FURIOUS if I was at a restaurant and had to wait 50 minutes for a glass of water, so I can understand - when I stop to think about it - why five minutes was a problem for her.
