I was always "the skinny girl". Even at nine months pregnant I never went over 120 pounds. And I lost the baby weight immediately. So immediately that I actually wore normal clothes home from the hospital. I could have totally written 99% of this myself... Except I haven't been the skinny girl since I was about 6.  I hope the doctors can find out what it is. But hopefully nothing too serious.  In the meantime, it's really not what is on the outside that matters, beauty is of the heart and soul.

That's really tough. I hope that you can find something that works for you! I've been doing the low carb diet, it works pretty well, but I've been plateauing on it currently.

Your piece could easily be written by me. After a hysterectomy, forced menopause and a psychotic episode, my meds were straightened out- the new mood stabilizer and antidepressant caused a weight gain of 60lbs. It's been 8years. Doc's tell me it's due to swollen liver, insulin resistance and cortisol which keeps fat stored around the middle.

I was never the skinny girl, but I do know about a medication change causing a sudden weight gain - and then stopping the medicine does NOT make it go back to normal!
