So I went home to visit my Mom and Keith for Thanksgiving. They both work at Walmart so for most of the time that I've been down here they've had to work. Mom even had to work on Thanksgiving itself, and of course they both have to work today Black Friday (known at Walmart as Blitz

I couldn't agree more. Every year people will camp out on sidewalks in front of stores just to get limited time offers on limited supplies of the latest thing. I'm afraid greed isn't restricted to the corporate world. In the famous quote attributed to the comic strip Pogo, "We have met the enemy, and he is us." In the end however, I place most of the blame on corporate America, where they have become experts at manipulating the behavior of their customers.
