Technical question

Nov 30, 2007 07:28

My Yahoo messenger has been working perfectly for years now. I'm on the latest version etc but starting yesterday, it now chews up huge amounts of CPU bringing my PC almost to a halt.

I've run all the scans I can think of and there's no virus or other malicious software detected.

Any ideas why this might be and how do I fix it?

I'd revert back until they stabilize. I'm having problems on my Mac, too. It's doing something where it accesses the network, too. Like I need more resources to be missing on my Mac. PSHAW.

If you want a previous version, take a look at OldVersion.com which has free downloads of many (free) programs.

Uninstall your current version before installing the old version.

Newer doesn't always mean better and I try to stick with the old programs unless there is a compelling reason to upgrade.

Regards

Paul
