the end is not so far

my grade for the last class finally posted.  this is the class that required me to write the longest paper of my life which ended up being 27 pages upon completion.  it is also the class that reduced my social life to nil.

i am now half way finished with my first year.  i still hold a 4.0 gpa and hope to keep it for the rest of the masters program.

Interesting subject. My mom's partner Mary (really my other mother) is a social worker at a hospital in Corvallis and she specializes in end-of-life care. Sometimes her stories are really sad, sometimes they are inspiring.

it was a touching subject to write about. i tried to keep it neutral with mainly covering the history, OR's stance and the national vibe. i think it's awesome that this state led the way towards legalization but since this was 50% of my grade, i didn't want to be too pushy with my views in case the prof was strongly anti.

when i first started the paper, i was very emotional reading all the stories. i'm sure your mom deals with the full spectrum of concerns both from the patients and docs.
