i'm writing a paper on a service organization and am considering zipcar as the topic.

have any of you experienced problems or recovery with them?...such as breakdowns or other negative issues?
how did the company handle the issue?

i'm also interested in positive reviews if you feel like sharing.

I have only used it once so far since I get a free membership since my workplace pays for it - I figured why not! Me and Patrick both own our cars though so rarely do I need it. The time I did though was to rent a truck to acquire the chicken coop from Nicki and Ben and it worked brilliantly. I also called to report minor scratches to the bed that were there when I picked up the truck. I had to call customer service to figure out how to get in the car and they were super nice - she did not call me a moron even once even though I earned it :)

i haven't heard anything bad through word of mouth so i'm curious how they deal with unforeseen events. other than this piece, i can get most of the info i need through their website.

I know Mike (blue haired - Maggie's guy) uses zip car alot so you might want to contact him to get feedback since he uses them more then anyone else I know. I have never heard of anyone having issues with them but that hardly means it does not happen :) Their website is a super great source indeed :)

The State of Oregon used zipcar when I worked for them. It was convenient and really easy to use. I travelled a ton for work, so it was really great for me when I just needed a car for a day for inspections, especially at the last minute. I was lucky enough to never have any breakdowns or issues with the vehicles.

thanks for the info! positive reviews are helpful too! i really wanted to write about a portland company and zipcar seemed to fit but i've never used them. good to hear you didn't have issues.

yes, good to briefly see you. the fashion show was fun & then we headed home so i could be rested for the major tattooing the next morning.
