I think a lot of you know that I'm in the snowpocalypse area, which means I pretty much haven't left the house in days. It's awful, but oddly enough I've actually found something I like about it. Winter is typically very gray and dim (which is terrible for me because I have SAD) but the snow reflects a lot of the sun so at least everything is nice ( Read more... )

That's a side effect of the brightness of snow I hadn't thought of. *offers you a snowplow* Here's hoping you get dug out a bit before the next round hits. We're in snowmageddon territory but are not under the snowcalypse.

Thanks. We're supposed to get more Monday, and...well, we don't live in a part of the country that knows how to handle snow well at all. So I'm not holding out too much hope. Eventually it should get warmer, though, and the snow should actually start melting. We've got ridiculously huge icicles right now, though, and I guess that counts for something.

Okay, I'm kind of stretching it there, but I'm trying really hard to find some positives here, lol.

I saw your post on Richelle Mead's blog and happened to click on your name. I'm glad I'm not the only one to survive this awful snow with most of my sanity intact. I live in Maryland just outside of DC. Are you anywhere around here or are you farther north?

Hi! Yeah, I'm in about the same area you are, actually. It's getting better--we actually saw some of the pavement on the street today for the first time in about a week.

You won't believe this but, I can actually see a little strip of grass in my front yard next to my house! I have this awesome pic on my facebook page of the snow packed bush in my front yard. It's completely covering the front of my car. If you want to check it out, my name is the same as it is on here. I am so glad to be able to get out of the house now.
