I do love Aamir, even when I am disappointed in him, as I am when filmi_girl points out political and egotistical faux pas of his... I like Asin, too. And now I've downloaded "Guzaarish" -- on my own A. R. Rahman compilation (one of ... so many) I had three OTHER songs from Ghajini, but not that one... And then I actually used the "You Might Like These" thing, by iGenius or whatever it is... and of the six songs suggested, I ended up buying two of them -- one from Delhi 6, and one from Kurbaan. I can't say I really liked either Kurbaan or New York, but their soundtracks were very good.
I like Aamir. I respect him deeply as an actor, and other than Lagaan (I get that it was a high-quality movie, but I just can't stand sports movies) I can't think of a single movie of his that I've seen but haven't liked. That's certainly something I can't say about most of my favorite Indian actors and actresses. But when a new movie of his comes out, I just don't find myself going "Wow, I *have* to see that!" Which is why it took me this long to see Ghajini, lol.
I still haven't seen Kurbaan or New York yet, but I'm planning to at some point. Haven't heard any of the songs from New York yet, but "Kurbaan Hua" is my song of choice for writing really angsty scenes in my stories. If I like the rest of the songs as much as I like that one, the soundtrack is definitely going to go on my list of things to buy when I have money again.
