I get my news through various blogs I follow (and I spend most of my days doing little but checking various aggregators and social networks) and the amazing thing is how easy it is to fine-tune your reality tunnel or *unfortunate comparison redacted* it by the choices you make in what you read on the internet.

It also makes for a stranger relationship with celebrities. Twice now I've had musicians retweet me mentioning their songs in a fannish context (Jess Klein and the Dollyrots, respectively). AS YOU GAZE INTO THE TIGER BEAT, THE TIGER BEAT GAZES INTO YOU.

This is one reason I'm kind of weirdly glad that Scott continues to check Fox News. I hate their website layout and their retitles of AP News stories (I know CNN and MSNBC also retitle but it comes across to me less reactionary) but it's a way to see how people are reaching the conclusions they're reaching. Also sometimes I actually feel up to things like finding out if Rassmussen is as reliable a polling source as they claim (no) AND I relearn stuff I forgot in statistics
