I hardcore need to get in shape. i have like 28 or 29 days until I go to clemson, and Thanksgiving break is the following weekend/week so I need to look good. Instead I've gained like 6 pounds. ah. so I decided I need a workout plan that I NEED to stick to. I'm going back to my old routine of going to the gym mon-wed directly after class. ( Read more... )

Hellooo love!

I found the treadmil works wonders. Even if you just walk a mile a day or something, but make sure it's on an incline (saves your knees/shins etc and helps burn more calories). It's the best way for girls to slim down, cause without cardio your just building muscle under whatever (super small amounts) of fat you feel you have.

But I feel your pain about being in shape. I haven't been able to work out, cause running on the treadmil every day has killed my body. I feel super gross latley. And I've found that I like sitting around, doing nothing except eating, way too much.

I BETTER SEE YOU NEXT WEEKEND! LOVE YOOOU!

yeah i love the treadmill except i hate running on them cause i run for like 2 seconds, and i feel like im wasting other people's time if i walk on it lol. but I really should go on it...

yeah i'm basically the queen of sitting around and doing nothing...besides stalking people's away messages haha...i wish i could get slim doing that, lol.

*hopefully* see you next weekend! xoxo

Ditto on the treadmill...
I can't seem to find what works best for me though.
I want instant results. Which obviously isn't possible.
But I like to mix it up.
Since I can't run, I walk at a steep incline. Do the elliptical, bike. Change it up.
I also don't want to bulk my legs up.
So I alternate workouts...
20-25 minutes of cardio. Then one day I do arm machines - biceps, triceps, armpit fat area, etc. There are a whole bunch of machines you can do. The other days I do hamstrings [but not quads - my legs are big enough], the side of you stomach twisty thing, and inner/outer thighs. And abs - But not really every day. Alternate days, but do enough so you're sore. Those big balls help to do abs on too.

Just my two cents!

Not dumb at all!!
You have to find a quieter time to go then...
Where you can figure out what machines are where and how to use them.
Makes it a lot easier!
So if you have to go earlier or something...
Or find a friend to go with you and you can laugh it off about not knowing what machines do what. Makes it easier :o)

I agree about the gym, I pretty much stick to one thing and like want to be in the corner. Like in the summer, i was fine doing the eliptical for 20mins because i knew how to do it and there were enough of them so that i didn't feel like I was taking up one for someone more athletic than me to use. Then they (jenn and marie) would do circut training on all the weight machines and i pretty much hated that because i just felt dumb useing them so i would ride the bike. I know that NO ONE cared that i was useing it i just know the feeling. I know your schedule is tough to fit the gym in, but maybe if you figure out the 'off' times when there's not a lot of people there it would be more comfortable to go and try stuff. I stick to my treadmill at home... i think i'm gonna try that incline thing tho...
