I both love and hate going to the comic conventions. I love going because it fills me with hope, and a sense of excitement to be around that many artists. To feel like now after so long I do have something to contribute beyond drawings your retarded kid sister could do

My Grandmother had a tendency to never think I was living up to my potential. In the end she probably went to her grave thinking I could do better. But I had long since realised what she wanted for me was not what I wanted for me and I could not/would not make myself unhappy to fulfill her wishes. Yours will love you for who you are, either way, but you have to live to suit yourself.
