I thought I would explain why I chose the challenge I did, especially Part 2. I think it makes more sense when you know how I came up with it.
I have a very coushy, climate controled, butt broadening desk job that I truly love.
My fiance Matt, does not have such luxuaries. Matt does ship and receiving for a very busy tile distributor. He hand unloads and load trucks of fragile and heavy tile (50+ pounds per carton), and assembles and loads personal orders for customers. This type of job leaves climate control soley on mother natures shoulders.
Often when I ask Matt to go for a walk with me, I am met with a angsty retort of I didn't get to sit in the a/c all day I was working my butt off in the 90 degree weather, now I am going rest. I has just gotten of the phone from one of these such conversations before posting my challenge.
If Matt, and a large number of todays workforce can work 8 plus hours in the heat all week long, why can't I go and workout for 30 minutes three times this week. I wait all winter for weather like this and when it arrives I still stay inside. I know that I need to prepare myself and drink lots and lots of water, above and beyond the normal 64 oz on the days I am planning on going outdoors. But I also know that I don't have to go out when the sun is hottest, I can choose my time, which will likely be just before sunset.
It wouldn't be called a challenge if it were easily accomplished. Stay positive and have a good time!
And now my challege quote for the week...
"They say that time changes things, but you actually have to change them youself."
