No, it's a fair question, especially because I adore Emilia Clarke in real life, I think she's charming. I just think Dany is a terrible leader and always has been, and she is blinded by her sense of entitlement. Also, what was all that crap with her reminiscing about her brother on this last episode --- you know, the one who pimped her out? Anyway, I hated her in the books too, so who knows?
I've only read the first book. That took me six months, and I decided I couldn't be doing with reading any more of them.
I don't know if Dany is a terrible leader, but she's certainly made lots of mistakes, and because of who she is, lots of innocent people have paid the price for them. And she definitely let some of the almost worship she received in places like Meereen go to her head. On the other hand, as long as she has the right advisers, she does as well as most of the other rulers in the series and in much more difficult circumstances.
However, I feel they're setting her up to go dark in these last few episodes, so defending her in any way is probably moot. ;)
I have to say, I really liked Arya's sex scene. It's true that the character is really young and Maisie still looks no older than 14 or so, but that's an age when lots of people start having sex. And it was (for once) fully consensual, not arranged or anything. Not overly sexualized, either.
Hope she doesn't get killed. I think you're right and they'll raze of half the cast in the next episode. I think the only ones who are save are Jon and Dany because they still have to hash out who gets the throne. I keep my thumbs pressed for Brienne and Arya.
Also I think the idea to store the women and children in the crypt, when fighting someone who can raise the dead, seems massively stupid. They should have crushed every skelleton down there to oatmeal.

True. I'm afraid I just couldn't get past the fact that she looks so terribly young. I take your point about it being that rare GoT animal, consensual sex. ;)
I don't think Arya will die in this battle. Not sure whether she'll survive the entire series, but I think she'll live through the next episode.

Agreed. I'm really, really worried about Sam and Gilly.
I actually liked the Arya/Gendry sex scene because I think 'strong' women are so often denied a sexual relationship, especially with a man. (I don't think writers can get away from the idea that a phallus = dominance). But Arya had decided what she wanted and I think the moment she saw Gendry she knew that she wanted it with him.
I have a feeling that Grey Worm will die, too, because he's making plans for the future :-(
I agree the Arya/Gendry sex scene was consensual. I even agree with Arya's reasoning and am glad she got what she wanted in what was probably a very nice way. However, I just couldn't get over how very young Maisie Williams still looks. It just gave me the heebie jeebies.

If you don't mind my asking, why do you dislike her so much?

I hadn't thought of that! It would be amazing to see Ned Stark come back to life! Let's hope it's only the newly dead that can be raised.
