In unrelated news, I want to buy a really light (as in unheavy) laptop. Is there anything out there that weighs significantly less than the 13" ibook?

Dude, you are endlessly entertaining. I'm not sure there's a world that exists outside of apple, but my supervisor has a weenie laptop that she really likes--Panasonic I think. The Sony Viao (at least the one I used for work a few years ago) seriously sucks.

I hear the 13" ibook is much lighter if you gut all the parts. If you leave the Mac family, I will have no choice but to pound you.

Computerwise, I seem to recall that Dell has a 4-pounder, while the MacBook is 5, I think. I have no idea why I know this. Am obviously hanging around with too many science nerds.

But with the Mac stuff? It's a cult. A warm, lovely, cozy cult. Join us, won't you?

I think I'm coming over. Even with record reports of lighter-than-ibook computers, I wanna ibook. And it's got to be lighter (and more wireless) than this brick, right?

Maybe I should weigh this brick.
