I feel a bit bad about the James Buchanan reference since his home was near where I grew up. I KNOW that the past president was much worse.

Did you like the musicians? I really enjoyed them, even though they ran a bit overtime and made the nation president-less for about five minutes! *hee*

Nope...the nation was never presidentless! I just learned today that even if he doesn't take the oath, the new presidency begins at precisely 12 noon if the oath can't be taken before that.

The music I loved was the Yo Yo Ma and company's version of Simple Gifts. Class all the way.

BTW, we watched history in action in music today...there was music, so it counts!
