We have no words to uniqely express ourselves properly. Many languages come with an array of words that mean similar but more intense things. Such as ( Read more... )

I think the UBER problem with the English language is that we have a decent amount of adjectives, but the nice ones that both sound nice and pack a punch with intense meaning are so rare that you will be very fortunate and considered highly intelligent if you get the chance to use them without looking in a thesaurus first.

That, and the words just sound hard. French, Japanese, and Italian poetry sound VERY beautiful when spoken in the native tongue; but once translated to English, they just go right to hell.

DAMN YOU, ENGLISH LANGUAGE! DAMN YOU TO HELL!

i know with japanese they translate it according to context, as to how the word is used.
and as far as words such as love, if you use that lightly you could send people running on a plane to jamaica.
it isnt the english language that fails, its the users and our culture that messes up the meanings.
we dont have a native tongue at all, we take what is beatiful for others and try to make it our own.
looking back at how our forefathers used to write, it damns us ALL to shame. they meant for future generations to further what they endeavored to start, not slowly progress into shitty slang words and repetitive insolence.
