Bruce has been in and out of the apartment all day, for the past three or four days. Earlier this evening he'd even paid a visit to Changeling, getting a much needed nap in the process.
As such, he walks in the door rubbing an eye but look much less grumpy then before. "'Llo."
Shard looks up in surprise, smiling a bit. "Hey there, Bruce. You're looking better." The fact that he had been looking so tired was even more reason for her to find a bigger place. And she'd been looking, but there wasn't anything she could afford.
Well, check that. There hadn't been anything she could afford.
"So. What have you been up to?" The letter was still in her hand, but she was ignoring it for the moment.
The fridge door is pulled open, obscuring Bruce from sight for a moment, though the clinking of glass against glass leads to an obvious conclusion. "Training, observation, drinks with Changeling. I remain doubtful that I'll ever fully find a 'friend my own age'. They're all so stupid, Enzan's company excepted."
He appears again, holding two glasses of orange juice, kicking the fridge closed behind him. As he walks to the table it's obvious he's eyeing the letter in her hand. "And yourself?"
Shard watches him move around, pursing her lips. "Probably not. I mean, your own age is sort of...weird." Forty something going on ten. Couldn't be easy.
She frowns, then moves over on the couch, patting the space beside her. "I'm...doing all right, actually. I think I've had some really good news, though."
