It was taking time to get the house together properly. There was a lot of shopping to do and Shard wasn't always a fan of shopping. Luckily, a lot of stuff could be bought online. Like the books for the library

Carefully stowing away the last of his shirts, he slides the drawer shut before slipping into the hall next to Shard. "Let's sort out the library. I'd rather not play at getting sand between my toes."

She tsks softly, then chuckles. "All right. I think it's only the first shipment, really, but it's still a lot of books." She reaches out, patting his shoulder before leading the way to the library, which was facing toward the pool.

There were now shelves on all four walls, along with a couple of armchairs and good lighting. The chairs and light were Alfred's influence. Just like anything in the kitchen, really.

"So," she finally said, opening the box. "What do you think of the place so far?"

Reaching in to grab two books and study their spines, he smiles slightly.
"It's lovely, Shard. You did very well for yourself in finding such a large property that retains such a homey feel to it."

Placing the books he'd been handling on the floor he reached for two more.

"I think you can hand the 'homey' feel all to Alfred. I haven't a clue what the hell I'm doing." She started stacking books by subject. "I just got really lucky with the house and the land. And the beach." Really lucky with the beach access.

She glanced over at him, chewing the inside of her cheek for a moment. "I guess what I'm really wondering is if you're happy here."
