Kagome was a regular 15-year-old girl who lived with her mom, brother Sota and her grandfather. She grew up with stories of the Shikon no Tama or the Jewel of Four Souls, and stories about the Feudal Era. Her grandfather told many of the stories to her because her family had the job of guarding a shrine, which contained a well. This well connected modern day Japan to the Feudal Era. Kagome discovered this on her fifteenth birthday when Madam Centipede pulled her through it.
She was surprised when she came out of the well to see a whole other world. She realized that it was not modern Japan but she was not sure where she was. After it bit her in the side, the Shikon Jewel flew out. It was determined later by Kaede that Kagome was the reincarnation of her sister Kikyo who had died 50 years earlier. While the Centipede was attacking her, she called out for help and ended up waking the boy who attached to the tree. She had seen him earlier and ran towards him.
He ended up being InuYasha and through a mishap that caused her to fire a demon’s foot at the demon who had the jewel. This caused the jewel to shatter into thousand’s of pieces. Needing Inuyasha to join her, since he was strong enough to reclaim them, they ended up going to find the other pieces.
During their journeys together, she ended up feeling a kindness towards him even though she was usually upset when he would not open up to her. Through her compassion and friendship, she felt a connection to him. As they ended up traveling on, they ended up teaming up with a cute fox demon named Shippo, a monk named Miroku and a demon slayer named Sango.
Opposing them was a horrible despicable demon named Naraku. She knows that Naraku got in between Kikyo and Inuyasha and caused them to despise each other and to try to kill each other. She tried to make Kikyo understand that when she was trying to bring Inuyasha into the afterlife. She also knows that Naraku killed all of Sango’s fellow demon slayers and even used her brother to do so and then tricked her into fighting Inuyasha. He is despicable and she will do whatever she can to defeat him.
Also opposing them but as badly is Inuyasha’s half brother Sesshomaru. She meets him when he tricked Inuyasha into trying to save his mother. She ended up saving him when she destroyed the illusion and went first into trying to find him. Only she was able to pull out Inuyasha’s fable sword the Tetsusaiga. The last she saw him, Sesshomaru brought him down after Inuyasha resorted into a full demon and hunted bandits. When he turned into a full demon, he lost a piece of his soul and even her voice will not penetrate into his conciousness.
Opposing her on a more personal level is Kikyo. Although she died 50 years ago, a evil witch brought her back after stealing her graveyard ashes and using some of Kagome’s soul. After she was back, Kagome had to put up with Inuyasha leaving her to run and find Kikyo as well as calling him back. She understood that there was a bond between them but it did not help her when she saw him promise Kikyo that he would always protect the other woman. It was then that she realized that she loved InuYasha and she would always stand besides him.
Shortly after she decided to stay with Inuyasha, they saved a young boy and his grandfather but they realized that the village that they had just left them was burning. After arriving to the site, all she saw was large white web, bandits who attacked her and a moth demon. The grandfather that they had saved held the Tetsusaiga and Inuyasha was nowhere to be found. Sango defended Kagome, the best that she could but suddenly Inuyasha leaped out of the web and he began to kill the moth demon and the other bandits. Kagome could tell that Inuyasha was gone from her and when Sesshomaru arrived, he battled Inuyasha and ended up throwing the half-demon to the ground. When Inuyasha came to, she realized that he was to his half-demon self. They find out from Myoga, that the sword suppressed his demon side. Now she knew that if he was separated from the sword, and his life was in danger then he can become a full demon. She watched with Totosei as Inuyasha battles his father’s enemy Ryuukatsusei. He ends up losing the Tetsusaiga in the fight and his demon side and Kagome yelled at him and after watching in a few horrible minutes in which, Kagome shows her strength and her love because she refused to leave his side, despite the danger. Inuyasha finally regains his sword and used it to defeat Ryuukatsusei with a new technique.
Kagome just survived a meeting with the Sage named Tokajin. Shippo noticed a strange fruit floating down stream and Miroku mentioned that they were human faced fruit and pointed above their heads to a tree. Inuyasha worried about the setting sun since he would lose his powers, leapt up the cliff to be take care of it. Kagome and Miroku decided to ride on the back of Shippo as he expanded his body to float. Unable to make it the full way up, he collapsed and they ended up in an unknown place. As they glanced at a small village, they ended up being sucked in. They discovered that that a sage named Tokajin was holding other sages hostage so he could use them as nourishment for Nimenka. If he gave the tree enough people, then Nimenka would bear the Fruit of Longevity. After developing a plan by using hairspray with Shippo’s foxfire and Miroku’s windtunnel, she was able to produce a whole in the wall of the small village.
Before she could escape, Tokajin discovered her and picked her up. She demanded to know of Inuyasha but annoyed by her, he squeezed her until she passed out. When she woke up, she was naked in a tub of green water. Inuyasha slammed into the door and before she could think, she stood up relieved that he was okay. Worried about his safety, she walked towards him. Inuyasha threw his komono at her and she used it to cover herself. Inuyasha collapsed on the hard floor and she ran over and hugged him. After helping him outside and to the cliff, she refused to leave him, which of course was his plan. After hearing a voice, they turned to see a human face on a plant. He said that he was Tokajin’s original teacher but after throwing a piece of the scared jewel into Nimenka, Tokajin was tricked by the tree and ate a Human Faced Fruit therefore making him a slave. Tokajin arrived and started fighting InuYasha. After trying to hit him with a bow and arrow which Kagome has picked up previously, the bow snapped. The old man turned into a bow and arrow and Kagome realized that Tokajin had three in his stomach. She released the arrow and it flew threw his body, causing the jewel shards to hit Nimenka. Tokajin angry at her interference ran at her. Listening to Inuyasha and going down to her knees, she glanced up in time to see Inuyasha and Tokajin fall over the cliff. She leaned over the cliff and started screaming his name. Crying and upset, she yelled at him and called him stupid. As everyone started calling him stupid, she heard his voice, realizing that he was still alive. Overcome by relief, she started crying and made him sit when he pointed out that she was crying.
Kagome felt something bite her ankle when she returned from her Era. Later on, while in Kaede’s hut, she felt a disturbance with the Sacred Jewel Shards. As she glanced at them, she realized that they were black. The bottle shatters and they go into her body by absorbing them through the skin at her neck. She falls back and she starts fighting a curse from a black priestess. As she laid there, she heard a voice in her head to shoot him and after a few seconds, she realized that someone wanted to her to shoot Inuyasha. She tried to resist and as Inuyasha went to look out the door, Kagome released an arrow. She stood ready with another and she pleaded with him to run away. He ran at her instead and she closed her eyes as she released the arrow. She fell to her knees and ends up in Inuyasha’s arms. The voices in her head had stopped and she begged Inuyasha to go find the Priestess since she can sense the Sacred Jewel. As they approached, she sees the barrier and with a sacred arrow she brought it down.
As the entered the grounds, where the castle was, Tsubaki emerged and showed the Sacred Jewel in her hand and Kagome’s life was held to the Sacred Jewel because of the Shards in her neck. She continued to battle the curse but Tsubaki tightened her grip on it, causing her to pass out. It almost seemed that she woke up and started preceding her usual life in the modern Era. As school continued, its almost like Kagome is loosing her memories of her time in the Feudal Era. A day passed and at the end of the second day, she participated in an archery class. The instructor asks her who she was and Kagome opens her eyes and shoots an arrow at Tsubaki and missed. After shouting her name, she fired another arrow and missed again. Tsubaki puts some venom on the Shikon shard and and caused Kagome great pain. Inuyasha destroys the demon that he was fighting and chops off the head of her snake shikigomi and Miroku purified it. Believing that it was done, they relaxed but Tsubaki showed that she still holds dominance over Kagome’s life. Laughing and releasing demons, Kagome continues to fight as her friends fight the demons. The shikigomi is still alive and is slithering its way right to her. Kagome grabbed her bow and caused it to go into Tsubaki’s left eye.
After waking up, Kagome sense a shard and they go to find it. Two young Priestesses stands between them and Tsubaki. After creating a large version of Inuyasha and herself, Inuyasha defeated them with the wind scar. Kagome, Kaede, Sango and Inuyasha continue on while Miroku and Shippo remained behind to take care of the two fainted Priestesses. They all become reunited outside a tower. As they reached it, they realize that someone else already entered it. The tower breaks up and Tsubaki joined with a very powerful ogre face them. Inuyasha destroyed it. As she returns to herself, a Saimyoushou flew out of her eye with the jewel shard.
On their journey, they come across Jakan disguised as a weapon sharpener. They leave their weapons with him but on return, they find him asleep. He then created a hot spring and while Inuyasha and Miroku enter it, Jakan tried to steal the Tetsusaiga. Kagome, Inuyasha and Miroku arrived to watch Sango fighting Jaken. As An-hu comes to save them, Kagome noticed a young girl on the back who Tetsusaiga to save Jaken. Naraku then kidnaps the young girl and she’s given to Kohaku. Sesshomaru trying to find Rin, and Inuyasha following Naraku’s scent, both end up coming to Naraku’s castle. Teaming up, they do considerable damage to Naraku. Kagome and her friends are attacked by demons but they find Kohaku and Rin, who Kagome recognized. Kohaku left with Rin and right before he killed her, Sesshomaru arrived. Right before they could fight, Kagome ran to Rin to check her for wounds and Inuyasha punched Kohaku. Sesshomaru held up Kohaku and right it looks like he’ll kill him, he lets him go. Rin awakened and followed the demon.
On their search for Naraku, villagers seeing Inuyasha, plead to him for help. Three young Monkey Sprites are tearing through the fields and destroying crops. After Kagome, Inuyasha and Shippo catch them, they hand Inuyasha a gift, which ended up being a trick. He is now stuck to a giant boulder. They work together with the young sprites to try to find the Monkey God’s Sacred Object who can remove the spell on Inuyasha. Kagome remains outside with Inuyasha at night and figures out that the Monkey God was being used as a weight. The Monkey God removed the spell and says that he sensed an aura gong off towards The Oxen Tiger before it disappeared.
A few small demons and an attempt at creating a fake Scared Jewel by using her friends occurred while she was in the Feudal Era. The attempt failed since before Gyuoh can finish it, the sun rose and he turned into dust. Kiara left and Shippo pointed out that everyone had misused the cat demon but she returned and it was explained that Myoga borrowed her to retrieve a grindstone from Totosei.
Sometime later, Kagome was angry with Inuyasha because he liked instant noodles over her home cooked meal. Marching off, she sensed the Scared Jewel Shard and followed it into a cave. As she wandered along trying to find the Jewel, she discovered Kikyou who seemed to be in a lot of pain. Kikyou explained, that they were in a demon that devoured Priestesses. Kagome refusing to leave the other woman behind, slipped an arm under her and started moving with her. Uncomfortable with the silence, Kagome starts blabbering about the tension between her and Inuyasha. After Kikyou began coughing, Kagome lowered her to ground and told the other priestess that she refused to leave her. Kagome puts Kikyou on her back and ended up surprising the other woman because of her strength and courage. They enter into the Heart of the demon where the demon faced them. Kagome shoots an arrow and fails to kill it but after taking the Sacred Jewel shard from Kikyou, she fired another arrow, but the demon was still unscathed. Kagome runs back to Kikyou, after the other miko asked for the remaining Sacred Jewel Shards. Kikyou asked her to pray and after a few seconds, Kikyou collapsed leaving three Jewel Shards combined in one. Kagome shot the monster and they are freed from it. Inuyasha was waiting for her and they ended up walking away arm in arm.
On their travels, they come across another insect demon but this one was a butterfly demon that wrapped, Kagome, Sango, Miroku, Shippo and Kirara in a web and caused them to face their worse nightmares. If they were not released by sundown then they will become butterfuly demons and end up consuming Inuyasha. Even after Inuyasha destroyed it, they were still in the cocoons. Despite his attempts to free them, Kagome was stuck seeing her friends murdered by Naraku. Oblivious to Inuyasha attempts to free them, she continued to dream but Inuyasha yelled that he dared her to tell him to sit. She unconsciously heard him and in her dream, she’s running from Naraku, she tripped and fell right into a human Inuyasha’s arms. He ended up becoming a half demon and destroying Naraku. She opened her eyes and realized that she wasn’t alone and used her sacred arrow to destroy the cocoon. They realized that it was an illusion after Inuyasha destroyed it and they continued on their way.
A group of seven mercenaries that had been beheaded years before were resurrected by Naraku. While Inuyasha was fighting Jakotsu, the poison master Mukotsu attacked Kagome, Miroku and Sango. Mukotsu decided that he wanted Kagome as his wife. He gave her a poison that paralyzed her body but not her mind. As Sango and Miroku arrive to help her, Mukotsu poisoned them. Kagome sensed the Shikon Jewel shard in his neck and stabbed the poison master, trying to remove them. Upset, he tried to strangle her but Sesshoumaru arrived and killed him. The poison that Mukotsu forced the three humans to take can kill them. Shippo trying to find a place for them discovered a temple. By their heads is incense and Kagome woke up and discovered that there were Shikon Jewel Shards in his forehead so she believed him to be on of the seven. Unable to talk or move she quickly succumbed to the incense. Renkotsu sets the temple on fire and moves to cut Inuyasha off and fights him along with Ginkotsu. After he defeated him, he ran in and discovered Shippo shielding them with his foxfire but they had stopped breathing. Myoga ended up sucking out the poison and they were okay, weak but okay.
Kikyou remained by Suikotsu who ended up being one of the seven. After he remembered his evil side and resorted back to it, Kikyou was almost ran over by Ginkotsu. She was suffering and Inuyasha brought her out of the town’s barrier. She explained that Mount Hakurei aura was extremely powerful and it can purify corrupt souls. Kagome was upset about Inuyasha and Kikyou and later on after a heart filled talk; she tells him that she will remain beside him before sitting him a bunch of times for pushing her. They meet Bankotsu, the leader of the band of seven and with Kouga they fight the remaining six. Renkotsu discovers that Kagome can see the Sacred Jewels and decides to kill her since he’s carrying the ones that he took from her. They determined where the Holy One derived from and they travel to where his remains were but Kagome discovered that they were missing while Bankotsu and Inuyasha battle. They then realized that by the barrier, it affected demons, even half demons like Inuyasha. Miroku and Sango left to go scout out the Mountain.
Kouga fought with some of the band of seven and was hurt pretty badly. Kagome was worried about him and Inuyasha found a cave for him to remain while he healed. A Saimyoushou caused Inuyasha to leave to kill it, which was what Renkotsu planned for. Pouring oil on the water and put it fire, they had no way to escape. He fired a canon into the cave but Inuyasha blocked it and he covered Kagome and the wolf demons with his kimono. Renkotsu after fighting Inuyasha, entered the cave to destroy the five of them but Kouga fights until he takes outs sticks of dynamite. Inuyasha returned to throw himself at Renkotsu. There’s an explosion and Kagome thinks that he died because she has his kimono, but Inuyasha’s alive and well and she’s so happy that she hugged him.
Inuyasha ran off so Kagome remained with the wolf demons to wait for him to return. She noticed that barrier seemed weaker and after handing Kirara and Shippo over to Kouga, she rushed off to the mountain. As she entered demons fly at her but before they can harm her, Kouga destroyed them. As they ran toward the mountain, Kagome sensed Sacred Jewel Shards at the bottom of the mountain and at the center. Kagome and Kouga become separated from Hakkaku and Ginta and travel into the mountain. As Kagome and Kouga enter, he gets pulled down and despite her efforts to pull him out; he breaks contact to save her. Kagome realized that they are in something living as well as Kouga’s shards were heading towards Naraku’s tainted shards. She ran out of tunnel when they see a giant orb that is filled with circular flesh-covered orbs. She also saw Miroku and Sango in this orb and discovered that they have not seen Inuyasha. There was some shaking and suddenly to tentacles that are wrapped around each other emerge with Inuyasha stuck in between two of them.
Kagome tried to freed him but she couldn’t and Naraku appeared and laughed as he watches them struggle. She fired an arrow at him but he just laughed and moved so it doesn’t hit him. Kagome is forced against the wall as Naraku held her there with Shippo. He told him that they are now in his body and that he wouldn’t eat them because they are useless to him. Inuyasha freed himself and fires his Wind Scar at him. Naraku absorbs it and fires it back at them. Inuyasha stays in front of Kagome and shields them with his sword. As she watched she noticed that at the bottom of the barrier he had around himself, were two shards. On Inuyasha’s back and covered with the Robe of the Fire Rat, they leaped at Naraku. Kagome fired her sacred arrow at him and this caused Kouga’s to be extracted out of Naraku. Shippo expanded and moved Kagome out as the mountain started crumbling on them. Inuyasha jumped down and saved Kouga and was able to get him out.
Kagome arrived to find Inuyasha staring over a cliff staring into a river of miasma. Kikyou’s broken bow remained close by and she realized that the other Priestess was dead. As they continue on their journey an old man tells them that he saw an injured Priestess who was badly wounded near by. Inuyasha went to investigate, soldiers appear and take the three humans to a castle. Kagome was taken inside, leaving Miroku and Sango to fight them. Kagome saw the old man and realized that it’s all a trap. There is an infant that she was force to hold. She was the only one who could sense the Sacred Jewel Shards now so Naraku wanted her powers for himself. It poked around inside of her soul and she begs for Inuyasha to come find her but the infant points out that he’s searching for Kikyou. He tried to cause Kagome to fill her heart with anger and bitterness. As Inuyasha arrivew, she was on Kagura’s feather, holding the infant. After arriving at a house, Kagome heard the name Kohaku and she started fighting the infant hold on her soul. Kagura who was about to put a tainted jewel into Kagome was told to wait. Kagome still fought until the infant spoke her fears out loud. As Kagura touched Kagome with the tainted jewel, Kagome fought it off. Kagome yelled her love for Inuyasha who arrived in that second. She let go of the infant and she collapsed. She woke in Kaede’s tent and after some time with Inuyasha she realized that he will never forget about Kikyou but she loved him and there’s nothing she can do.
Kagome returned to her Era and found herself helping out at a cultural festival. At first she was just a stand in for cooking, singing and acting. Through some mess ups she finds herself as the led for the play, she had a solo for the choir performance and she had to help plan the main course. The day of the cultural festival she finds that some of the dry meats that she returned were actually demons. Four of them are released in the Cultural Festival and Inuyasha has to kill them while Kagome acts, sings and cooks. Back in the Feudal Era, Kagome is taken as a wife for a boar demon. With an amulet on her head, it caused her to ‘fall in love’ with him. Inuyasha traveled to castle and knocked it off of her head. She blinked and recovered and after a second she shoots the boar demon.
Akitoki Hojo asked for help since he’s carrying a demon sword that brings him severe misfortune. Kagome and Hojo get knocked over a cliff. After saving her and carrying her for a distance since she injured her ankle, he all but mentioned his love for her. After fighting some demons, she’s kidnapped by Hoshiyomi and he caused her to become unconscious. Kagome woke up and asked Hoshiyomi told her of his past love tsukiyomi and woman priestess and his plans to reunite his sword. Kagome was possessed by the spirit of Tsukiyomi, who told him that the reason why she betrayed him was to save him. Kagome and Inuyasha fought together to destroy this demon.
They had helped Miroku’s monk earlier who said he was dieing because rumors of people going around killing Monks was going around. They enter a village and discover that the head monk was killed had cut a baby in half. The demon that he had sealed was now unsealed. They were told about the demon Entei who battled them then went to find its old master. Kagome and her friends went to find the demon horse but they were surprised to see a young boy riding him. They soon come across a number of headless demons. Inuyasha destroyed them but they come across a young otter demon that has the head of his father so they search for the body. The villagers fought the body and even though they attach the head, it seemed as though all hope was lost. Sesshomaru who had arrived wielded his tensaiga. The father awakes and reveals that he was in a giant graveyard and they realize that the last shard might be in the after life.
They traveled through the fire country, led by Naraku’s Saimyoushou. As they continue on, they come across two guards. As Inuyasha tries to walk though, they fight him since they are the gatekeepers into the underworld. He eneded up fighting and breaks the chain on the door. After it opened, Kagura tries flying through but everything that entered were turned into to stone. As the doors closed, Kagome sees the Shikon Jewel beyond the doorway. The group suddenly sees these birds around and as they fight them, their leader, Princess Abi arrived but the Saimyoushou show that they are fighting for Naraku.
They try to find the nest of the demon birds only to met Hakudoshi on Entei. They are trying to save the group of humans and despite their efforts, its not looking to good. Inuyasha tried to break the barrier when a sacred arrow slices through it. Kagura saved Hakudoshi and Inuyasha was finally able to kill the horse. There were rumors about a Saint so the group traveled to find them. They discovered that the Saint was trying to find the bird’s nest. They were attacked by demons but Kagome noticed a soul collector and moved off to determine if Kikyou was still alive.
Kagome discovered Kikyou’s body flowing in the water. She was told that only she has the power to save Kikyou. Her body being from a sacred shrine was not destroyed, as a regular body would have been. However, if Kagome doesn’t save Kikyou by sunset, then the miasma will finally destroy her. Kagome immediately jumps in and uses some of the soil from her gravesite to push into her wounds. It takes a lot of energy to save Kikyou and after experiencing the other miko’s memories of her death, Kagome passed out. When she awaked, Kikyou noticed her and she leaves. Kagome felt as though Kikyou was testing her and she became angry and as Inuyasha arrived, she explained that Kikyou was here and she was okay but she just left. Being upset, Kagome told Inuyasha that she hated him. Inuyasha a little bit later said that Kikyou was fine and he would remain by Kagome’s side but he demanded that she took back what she had said before.
Kagome was handed an arrow from Kikyou that had been rubbed with soil from Onigumo’s grave. As they arrived at the nest, they see him a giant bird demon. Naraku is swallowed but comes out of the head and he kills Abi. He chops off the head a river of blood was formed. Naraku explained that the birds reside in hell so the river of blood was the way into the underworld. When they arrive, they find Hosenki who created the pearl in Inuyasha’s eye, in the stomach of Inuyasha’s father. Hosenki was a skull with diamonds shards surrounding him. It is he, who contained the last shard. Kagome shoots two arrows at the Sacred Jewel that is starting to become tainted from the influence of Naraku’s shards. After Kagome shot her second arrow, Inuyasha preformed the wind scar, which damaged some of the shards. Naraku noticing this weakness took the shard from Hosenki.
Naraku began to fight Sesshomaru who arrived and Inuyasha took the challenge to slice through Hosenki. Kagome watches as Sesshomaru slices Naraku, and caused miasma to start flowing around. Kagome started purifying it with arrows but soon she ran of out of them. Inuyasha decided to use to wind scar to break up the miasma and diamond spears shoot out of it and impaled Naraku. Sesshomaru attacked and Kagome attacked using Kikyou’s arrow and Naraku was hit and he vanished and Kagome retrieved the shard.
Shippo became infected by a parasite and after destroying it, there was a giant nest of them. That many showed that a large demon had moved on. They all decide that Naraku was behind it. They end up meeting a giant demon mountain named Gakusanjin who spoke of his anger of Naraku. Naraku took his Fuyouheki that causes a demon to be undetectable. Gakusanjin gave them some crystals which will disappear if they were in close proximity to the Fuyouheki. Kagome and her friends arrived to see Kikyou imprisoned by talons from Naraku who escaped when they arrived. After discovering dead demons that seem to becoming more and more human, they discover a creature named Moryoumaru. While fighting it, Hakudoshi protected Moryoumaru when Inuyasha attacked it using his adamant barrage and they escaped.
They come across Toryomaru who was a Buddhist priest and who could shoot light out of his right arm. He has several young followers who used Gyoja pots that he filled from his arm. Kagome and her friends destroy the enemy. Kagome ran to help Goryoumaru just as Kagura starts fighting again. She checked to fight and found herself locked to Goryoumaru. Something about that caused Kagome concern but he shot a hole in Kagura’s chest and she flies off. Inuyasha smelled blood from the temple so they rush back to find Hakudoshi murdering Goryoumaru. Kanna walked out holding the infant but Kanna and Hakudoshi run away although through her frustration, Kagura told them that the infant was Naraku’s heart. Kagura lead Kagome and her friends to a stone ogre. As they enter the stomach, Inuyasha unleashes the Wind Scar. Naraku caused the demon to come back to life and laughs as he tells them at they will be devoured. Miroku tried to used his wind tunnel and he sucked in some of the poisonous insects. Kagome tried to shoot him but he disappears. The acid dripping from the ceiling and the walls causes a miasma. It’s hard to breathe and Miroku tried to put up a barrier but he’s weak and it quickly comes down. Inuyasha covered them with his kimono and tried to use the Adamant Barrage but it failed. He uses the Shikon Jewel Shard that Kagome has on his sword, but the demons aura makes it hard for him to fight his own demonic nature. Uncaring about the acid falling on her or the acid on the floor, she ran and hugged him as she pleaded for him to remain with her. Her feet were burned and the pain caused her knees to buckle but she refused to let go. Her presence caused the Jewel shard to purify and at Inuyasha requested she holds him as he uses the Tensaiuga to destroy the demon. Kagome looses consciousness and after she regains it back in Kaede’s hut, Inuyasha speaks with her up in a tree. She tells him that she’s glad that she’s by his side.
[ Personality ] :
Kagome is an intelligent, strong-willed, independent, stubborn, sweet, caring and loving young woman. She is brave, loyal and generally an overall caring and compassionate person who looks out for everyone around her. She has a strong sense of justice and she will always look out for the innocent.
She only shows fear only when someone is in danger. She was pulled into the well and although she was not sure where she was, she was not afraid. By trying to use her intelligence, she tried to find her way home and ended up finding Inuyasha. After figuring out what was happening, she decided to go home when Yura of the Hair arrived. During the fight with Yura, Inuyasha was wounded and although she did not think highly of him, it did not stop her from trying to help him.
Her bravery is astounding. Unless told otherwise by Inuyasha, she will stand by his side. She often times refused to be pulled out of danger especially if there is a risk that he might be hurt. When he battled Ryukotsusei, he turned into a full demon and she wanted to stay close to him. Fortunately, the situation changed when he grabbed his sword and he was able to defeat the demon. She is never intimidated as can be seen when Tokajin held her and instead of being afraid, she showed her concern for Inuyasha as she started demanding answers out of Tokajin.
Although she is brave and intelligent, she is also strong-willed and stubborn. When she saw that she was no longer in Modern Japan, her first comment was “Well Toto, it looks like we are not in Tokyo anymore.” Her sarcasm can be seen and as can her quick anger. When InuYasha angers her and gets in her way, she can be heard saying “Sit!” and this causes him to crash onto the ground.
She loves InuYasha with her whole heart and although she is aware of it, she also acknowledges that it will be hard. She shows her strength of character when she is left behind as InuYasha chases after Kikyo. She shows his displeasure but it hurts her more then he could even begin to guess. Despite all of this, she knows that her place is by his side.
[ Strengths/Weaknesses ] :
Strengths: She is an extremely strong female and a strong sense of justice. She wants to bring down Naraku despite the fact that he has not technically done anything against her. She always looks out for others. Her sweet and compassionate nature tends to cause others to open to her like Inuyasha. She also has the strength that she can sense the sacred jewel shards. Her ability to sense jewel shards when they are close and can lead the others in the direction of the shards. She also has the ability to shoot a sacred arrow.
Weakness: She has very bad luck. Whenever she is running away, she always falls. She does tend to have a quick temper, which can cause problems between herself and Inuyasha. She sometimes allows her love for her friends to overcome her good sense such as running to defend Inuyasha after he turned into a full demon and Sesshomaru brought her down.

S"OWWW!" She cried out as she woke up. She kept her eyes closed for a second more since she was feeling slightly dizzy. "Inuyasha! What happened! What did you..." She stopped mid-sentence as she opened her eyes and realized immediately that he was not standing next her. As she glazed around her dumbly, she realized that she was in a completely different place. "How did I get here?" She sat up slightly and stared at the unfamiliar buildings. "They seem almost...like those in my era...but I'm not home. Where am I?"
She tried to stand up but grimaced as her head throbbed so she sat down for a few seconds and waited for it pass. She tried to stand again and this time she was able to do so. She needed to figure out what was going on and how she could get back. "The Jewel Shards....are gone." She could not sense them so she knew that they were gone when she woke up.
She realized that it could be a trick to gain her jewel shards. "Naraku can create illusions...and he has been after my jewel shards...but he can't create a city...can he?" She stayed still and thought about and it made the most sense. "Naraku! You are despicable!" She stared around her and realized that it was an amazing illusion but she would not ever tell him that. "Inuyasha will come for me! He will get you Naraku!"

[ History ] :
Kagome was a regular 15-year-old girl who lived with her mom, brother Sota and her grandfather. She grew up with stories of the Shikon no Tama or the Jewel of Four Souls, and stories about the Feudal Era. Her grandfather told many of the stories to her because her family had the job of guarding a shrine, which contained a well. This well connected modern day Japan to the Feudal Era. Kagome discovered this on her fifteenth birthday when Madam Centipede pulled her through it.
She was surprised when she came out of the well to see a whole other world. She realized that it was not modern Japan but she was not sure where she was. After it bit her in the side, the Shikon Jewel flew out. It was determined later by Kaede that Kagome was the reincarnation of her sister Kikyo who had died 50 years earlier. While the Centipede was attacking her, she called out for help and ended up waking the boy who attached to the tree. She had seen him earlier and ran towards him.
He ended up being InuYasha and through a mishap that caused her to fire a demon’s foot at the demon who had the jewel. This caused the jewel to shatter into thousand’s of pieces. Needing Inuyasha to join her, since he was strong enough to reclaim them, they ended up going to find the other pieces.
During their journeys together, she ended up feeling a kindness towards him even though she was usually upset when he would not open up to her. Through her compassion and friendship, she felt a connection to him. As they ended up traveling on, they ended up teaming up with a cute fox demon named Shippo, a monk named Miroku and a demon slayer named Sango.
Opposing them was a horrible despicable demon named Naraku. She knows that Naraku got in between Kikyo and Inuyasha and caused them to despise each other and to try to kill each other. She tried to make Kikyo understand that when she was trying to bring Inuyasha into the afterlife. She also knows that Naraku killed all of Sango’s fellow demon slayers and even used her brother to do so and then tricked her into fighting Inuyasha. He is despicable and she will do whatever she can to defeat him.
Also opposing them but as badly is Inuyasha’s half brother Sesshomaru. She meets him when he tricked Inuyasha into trying to save his mother. She ended up saving him when she destroyed the illusion and went first into trying to find him. Only she was able to pull out Inuyasha’s fable sword the Tetsusaiga. The last she saw him, Sesshomaru brought him down after Inuyasha resorted into a full demon and hunted bandits. When he turned into a full demon, he lost a piece of his soul and even her voice will not penetrate into his conciousness.
Opposing her on a more personal level is Kikyo. Although she died 50 years ago, a evil witch brought her back after stealing her graveyard ashes and using some of Kagome’s soul. After she was back, Kagome had to put up with Inuyasha leaving her to run and find Kikyo as well as calling him back. She understood that there was a bond between them but it did not help her when she saw him promise Kikyo that he would always protect the other woman. It was then that she realized that she loved InuYasha and she would always stand besides him.
Shortly after she decided to stay with Inuyasha, they saved a young boy and his grandfather but they realized that the village that they had just left them was burning. After arriving to the site, all she saw was large white web, bandits who attacked her and a moth demon. The grandfather that they had saved held the Tetsusaiga and Inuyasha was nowhere to be found. Sango defended Kagome, the best that she could but suddenly Inuyasha leaped out of the web and he began to kill the moth demon and the other bandits. Kagome could tell that Inuyasha was gone from her and when Sesshomaru arrived, he battled Inuyasha and ended up throwing the half-demon to the ground. When Inuyasha came to, she realized that he was to his half-demon self. They find out from Myoga, that the sword suppressed his demon side. Now she knew that if he was separated from the sword, and his life was in danger then he can become a full demon. She watched with Totosei as Inuyasha battles his father’s enemy Ryuukatsusei. He ends up losing the Tetsusaiga in the fight and his demon side and Kagome yelled at him and after watching in a few horrible minutes in which, Kagome shows her strength and her love because she refused to leave his side, despite the danger. Inuyasha finally regains his sword and used it to defeat Ryuukatsusei with a new technique.
Kagome just survived a meeting with the Sage named Tokajin. Shippo noticed a strange fruit floating down stream and Miroku mentioned that they were human faced fruit and pointed above their heads to a tree. Inuyasha worried about the setting sun since he would lose his powers, leapt up the cliff to be take care of it. Kagome and Miroku decided to ride on the back of Shippo as he expanded his body to float. Unable to make it the full way up, he collapsed and they ended up in an unknown place. As they glanced at a small village, they ended up being sucked in. They discovered that that a sage named Tokajin was holding other sages hostage so he could use them as nourishment for Nimenka. If he gave the tree enough people, then Nimenka would bear the Fruit of Longevity. After developing a plan by using hairspray with Shippo’s foxfire and Miroku’s windtunnel, she was able to produce a whole in the wall of the small village.
Before she could escape, Tokajin discovered her and picked her up. She demanded to know of Inuyasha but annoyed by her, he squeezed her until she passed out. When she woke up, she was naked in a tub of green water. Inuyasha slammed into the door and before she could think, she stood up relieved that he was okay. Worried about his safety, she walked towards him. Inuyasha threw his komono at her and she used it to cover herself. Inuyasha collapsed on the hard floor and she ran over and hugged him. After helping him outside and to the cliff, she refused to leave him, which of course was his plan. After hearing a voice, they turned to see a human face on a plant. He said that he was Tokajin’s original teacher but after throwing a piece of the scared jewel into Nimenka, Tokajin was tricked by the tree and ate a Human Faced Fruit therefore making him a slave. Tokajin arrived and started fighting InuYasha. After trying to hit him with a bow and arrow which Kagome has picked up previously, the bow snapped. The old man turned into a bow and arrow and Kagome realized that Tokajin had three in his stomach. She released the arrow and it flew threw his body, causing the jewel shards to hit Nimenka. Tokajin angry at her interference ran at her. Listening to Inuyasha and going down to her knees, she glanced up in time to see Inuyasha and Tokajin fall over the cliff. She leaned over the cliff and started screaming his name. Crying and upset, she yelled at him and called him stupid. As everyone started calling him stupid, she heard his voice, realizing that he was still alive. Overcome by relief, she started crying and made him sit when he pointed out that she was crying.
Kagome felt something bite her ankle when she returned from her Era. Later on, while in Kaede’s hut, she felt a disturbance with the Sacred Jewel Shards. As she glanced at them, she realized that they were black. The bottle shatters and they go into her body by absorbing them through the skin at her neck. She falls back and she starts fighting a curse from a black priestess. As she laid there, she heard a voice in her head to shoot him and after a few seconds, she realized that someone wanted to her to shoot Inuyasha. She tried to resist and as Inuyasha went to look out the door, Kagome released an arrow. She stood ready with another and she pleaded with him to run away. He ran at her instead and she closed her eyes as she released the arrow. She fell to her knees and ends up in Inuyasha’s arms. The voices in her head had stopped and she begged Inuyasha to go find the Priestess since she can sense the Sacred Jewel. As they approached, she sees the barrier and with a sacred arrow she brought it down.
As the entered the grounds, where the castle was, Tsubaki emerged and showed the Sacred Jewel in her hand and Kagome’s life was held to the Sacred Jewel because of the Shards in her neck. She continued to battle the curse but Tsubaki tightened her grip on it, causing her to pass out. It almost seemed that she woke up and started preceding her usual life in the modern Era. As school continued, its almost like Kagome is loosing her memories of her time in the Feudal Era. A day passed and at the end of the second day, she participated in an archery class. The instructor asks her who she was and Kagome opens her eyes and shoots an arrow at Tsubaki and missed. After shouting her name, she fired another arrow and missed again. Tsubaki puts some venom on the Shikon shard and and caused Kagome great pain. Inuyasha destroys the demon that he was fighting and chops off the head of her snake shikigomi and Miroku purified it. Believing that it was done, they relaxed but Tsubaki showed that she still holds dominance over Kagome’s life. Laughing and releasing demons, Kagome continues to fight as her friends fight the demons. The shikigomi is still alive and is slithering its way right to her. Kagome grabbed her bow and caused it to go into Tsubaki’s left eye.
After waking up, Kagome sense a shard and they go to find it. Two young Priestesses stands between them and Tsubaki. After creating a large version of Inuyasha and herself, Inuyasha defeated them with the wind scar. Kagome, Kaede, Sango and Inuyasha continue on while Miroku and Shippo remained behind to take care of the two fainted Priestesses. They all become reunited outside a tower. As they reached it, they realize that someone else already entered it. The tower breaks up and Tsubaki joined with a very powerful ogre face them. Inuyasha destroyed it. As she returns to herself, a Saimyoushou flew out of her eye with the jewel shard.
On their journey, they come across Jakan disguised as a weapon sharpener. They leave their weapons with him but on return, they find him asleep. He then created a hot spring and while Inuyasha and Miroku enter it, Jakan tried to steal the Tetsusaiga. Kagome, Inuyasha and Miroku arrived to watch Sango fighting Jaken. As An-hu comes to save them, Kagome noticed a young girl on the back who Tetsusaiga to save Jaken. Naraku then kidnaps the young girl and she’s given to Kohaku. Sesshomaru trying to find Rin, and Inuyasha following Naraku’s scent, both end up coming to Naraku’s castle. Teaming up, they do considerable damage to Naraku. Kagome and her friends are attacked by demons but they find Kohaku and Rin, who Kagome recognized. Kohaku left with Rin and right before he killed her, Sesshomaru arrived. Right before they could fight, Kagome ran to Rin to check her for wounds and Inuyasha punched Kohaku. Sesshomaru held up Kohaku and right it looks like he’ll kill him, he lets him go. Rin awakened and followed the demon.
On their search for Naraku, villagers seeing Inuyasha, plead to him for help. Three young Monkey Sprites are tearing through the fields and destroying crops. After Kagome, Inuyasha and Shippo catch them, they hand Inuyasha a gift, which ended up being a trick. He is now stuck to a giant boulder. They work together with the young sprites to try to find the Monkey God’s Sacred Object who can remove the spell on Inuyasha. Kagome remains outside with Inuyasha at night and figures out that the Monkey God was being used as a weight. The Monkey God removed the spell and says that he sensed an aura gong off towards The Oxen Tiger before it disappeared.
A few small demons and an attempt at creating a fake Scared Jewel by using her friends occurred while she was in the Feudal Era. The attempt failed since before Gyuoh can finish it, the sun rose and he turned into dust. Kiara left and Shippo pointed out that everyone had misused the cat demon but she returned and it was explained that Myoga borrowed her to retrieve a grindstone from Totosei.
Sometime later, Kagome was angry with Inuyasha because he liked instant noodles over her home cooked meal. Marching off, she sensed the Scared Jewel Shard and followed it into a cave. As she wandered along trying to find the Jewel, she discovered Kikyou who seemed to be in a lot of pain. Kikyou explained, that they were in a demon that devoured Priestesses. Kagome refusing to leave the other woman behind, slipped an arm under her and started moving with her. Uncomfortable with the silence, Kagome starts blabbering about the tension between her and Inuyasha. After Kikyou began coughing, Kagome lowered her to ground and told the other priestess that she refused to leave her. Kagome puts Kikyou on her back and ended up surprising the other woman because of her strength and courage. They enter into the Heart of the demon where the demon faced them. Kagome shoots an arrow and fails to kill it but after taking the Sacred Jewel shard from Kikyou, she fired another arrow, but the demon was still unscathed. Kagome runs back to Kikyou, after the other miko asked for the remaining Sacred Jewel Shards. Kikyou asked her to pray and after a few seconds, Kikyou collapsed leaving three Jewel Shards combined in one. Kagome shot the monster and they are freed from it. Inuyasha was waiting for her and they ended up walking away arm in arm.
On their travels, they come across another insect demon but this one was a butterfly demon that wrapped, Kagome, Sango, Miroku, Shippo and Kirara in a web and caused them to face their worse nightmares. If they were not released by sundown then they will become butterfuly demons and end up consuming Inuyasha. Even after Inuyasha destroyed it, they were still in the cocoons. Despite his attempts to free them, Kagome was stuck seeing her friends murdered by Naraku. Oblivious to Inuyasha attempts to free them, she continued to dream but Inuyasha yelled that he dared her to tell him to sit. She unconsciously heard him and in her dream, she’s running from Naraku, she tripped and fell right into a human Inuyasha’s arms. He ended up becoming a half demon and destroying Naraku. She opened her eyes and realized that she wasn’t alone and used her sacred arrow to destroy the cocoon. They realized that it was an illusion after Inuyasha destroyed it and they continued on their way.
A group of seven mercenaries that had been beheaded years before were resurrected by Naraku. While Inuyasha was fighting Jakotsu, the poison master Mukotsu attacked Kagome, Miroku and Sango. Mukotsu decided that he wanted Kagome as his wife. He gave her a poison that paralyzed her body but not her mind. As Sango and Miroku arrive to help her, Mukotsu poisoned them. Kagome sensed the Shikon Jewel shard in his neck and stabbed the poison master, trying to remove them. Upset, he tried to strangle her but Sesshoumaru arrived and killed him. The poison that Mukotsu forced the three humans to take can kill them. Shippo trying to find a place for them discovered a temple. By their heads is incense and Kagome woke up and discovered that there were Shikon Jewel Shards in his forehead so she believed him to be on of the seven. Unable to talk or move she quickly succumbed to the incense. Renkotsu sets the temple on fire and moves to cut Inuyasha off and fights him along with Ginkotsu. After he defeated him, he ran in and discovered Shippo shielding them with his foxfire but they had stopped breathing. Myoga ended up sucking out the poison and they were okay, weak but okay.
Kikyou remained by Suikotsu who ended up being one of the seven. After he remembered his evil side and resorted back to it, Kikyou was almost ran over by Ginkotsu. She was suffering and Inuyasha brought her out of the town’s barrier. She explained that Mount Hakurei aura was extremely powerful and it can purify corrupt souls. Kagome was upset about Inuyasha and Kikyou and later on after a heart filled talk; she tells him that she will remain beside him before sitting him a bunch of times for pushing her. They meet Bankotsu, the leader of the band of seven and with Kouga they fight the remaining six. Renkotsu discovers that Kagome can see the Sacred Jewels and decides to kill her since he’s carrying the ones that he took from her. They determined where the Holy One derived from and they travel to where his remains were but Kagome discovered that they were missing while Bankotsu and Inuyasha battle. They then realized that by the barrier, it affected demons, even half demons like Inuyasha. Miroku and Sango left to go scout out the Mountain.
Kouga fought with some of the band of seven and was hurt pretty badly. Kagome was worried about him and Inuyasha found a cave for him to remain while he healed. A Saimyoushou caused Inuyasha to leave to kill it, which was what Renkotsu planned for. Pouring oil on the water and put it fire, they had no way to escape. He fired a canon into the cave but Inuyasha blocked it and he covered Kagome and the wolf demons with his kimono. Renkotsu after fighting Inuyasha, entered the cave to destroy the five of them but Kouga fights until he takes outs sticks of dynamite. Inuyasha returned to throw himself at Renkotsu. There’s an explosion and Kagome thinks that he died because she has his kimono, but Inuyasha’s alive and well and she’s so happy that she hugged him.
Inuyasha ran off so Kagome remained with the wolf demons to wait for him to return. She noticed that barrier seemed weaker and after handing Kirara and Shippo over to Kouga, she rushed off to the mountain. As she entered demons fly at her but before they can harm her, Kouga destroyed them. As they ran toward the mountain, Kagome sensed Sacred Jewel Shards at the bottom of the mountain and at the center. Kagome and Kouga become separated from Hakkaku and Ginta and travel into the mountain. As Kagome and Kouga enter, he gets pulled down and despite her efforts to pull him out; he breaks contact to save her. Kagome realized that they are in something living as well as Kouga’s shards were heading towards Naraku’s tainted shards. She ran out of tunnel when they see a giant orb that is filled with circular flesh-covered orbs. She also saw Miroku and Sango in this orb and discovered that they have not seen Inuyasha. There was some shaking and suddenly to tentacles that are wrapped around each other emerge with Inuyasha stuck in between two of them.
Kagome tried to freed him but she couldn’t and Naraku appeared and laughed as he watches them struggle. She fired an arrow at him but he just laughed and moved so it doesn’t hit him. Kagome is forced against the wall as Naraku held her there with Shippo. He told him that they are now in his body and that he wouldn’t eat them because they are useless to him. Inuyasha freed himself and fires his Wind Scar at him. Naraku absorbs it and fires it back at them. Inuyasha stays in front of Kagome and shields them with his sword. As she watched she noticed that at the bottom of the barrier he had around himself, were two shards. On Inuyasha’s back and covered with the Robe of the Fire Rat, they leaped at Naraku. Kagome fired her sacred arrow at him and this caused Kouga’s to be extracted out of Naraku. Shippo expanded and moved Kagome out as the mountain started crumbling on them. Inuyasha jumped down and saved Kouga and was able to get him out.
Kagome arrived to find Inuyasha staring over a cliff staring into a river of miasma. Kikyou’s broken bow remained close by and she realized that the other Priestess was dead. As they continue on their journey an old man tells them that he saw an injured Priestess who was badly wounded near by. Inuyasha went to investigate, soldiers appear and take the three humans to a castle. Kagome was taken inside, leaving Miroku and Sango to fight them. Kagome saw the old man and realized that it’s all a trap. There is an infant that she was force to hold. She was the only one who could sense the Sacred Jewel Shards now so Naraku wanted her powers for himself. It poked around inside of her soul and she begs for Inuyasha to come find her but the infant points out that he’s searching for Kikyou. He tried to cause Kagome to fill her heart with anger and bitterness. As Inuyasha arrivew, she was on Kagura’s feather, holding the infant. After arriving at a house, Kagome heard the name Kohaku and she started fighting the infant hold on her soul. Kagura who was about to put a tainted jewel into Kagome was told to wait. Kagome still fought until the infant spoke her fears out loud. As Kagura touched Kagome with the tainted jewel, Kagome fought it off. Kagome yelled her love for Inuyasha who arrived in that second. She let go of the infant and she collapsed. She woke in Kaede’s tent and after some time with Inuyasha she realized that he will never forget about Kikyou but she loved him and there’s nothing she can do.
Kagome returned to her Era and found herself helping out at a cultural festival. At first she was just a stand in for cooking, singing and acting. Through some mess ups she finds herself as the led for the play, she had a solo for the choir performance and she had to help plan the main course. The day of the cultural festival she finds that some of the dry meats that she returned were actually demons. Four of them are released in the Cultural Festival and Inuyasha has to kill them while Kagome acts, sings and cooks. Back in the Feudal Era, Kagome is taken as a wife for a boar demon. With an amulet on her head, it caused her to ‘fall in love’ with him. Inuyasha traveled to castle and knocked it off of her head. She blinked and recovered and after a second she shoots the boar demon.
Akitoki Hojo asked for help since he’s carrying a demon sword that brings him severe misfortune. Kagome and Hojo get knocked over a cliff. After saving her and carrying her for a distance since she injured her ankle, he all but mentioned his love for her. After fighting some demons, she’s kidnapped by Hoshiyomi and he caused her to become unconscious. Kagome woke up and asked Hoshiyomi told her of his past love tsukiyomi and woman priestess and his plans to reunite his sword. Kagome was possessed by the spirit of Tsukiyomi, who told him that the reason why she betrayed him was to save him. Kagome and Inuyasha fought together to destroy this demon.
They had helped Miroku’s monk earlier who said he was dieing because rumors of people going around killing Monks was going around. They enter a village and discover that the head monk was killed had cut a baby in half. The demon that he had sealed was now unsealed. They were told about the demon Entei who battled them then went to find its old master. Kagome and her friends went to find the demon horse but they were surprised to see a young boy riding him. They soon come across a number of headless demons. Inuyasha destroyed them but they come across a young otter demon that has the head of his father so they search for the body. The villagers fought the body and even though they attach the head, it seemed as though all hope was lost. Sesshomaru who had arrived wielded his tensaiga. The father awakes and reveals that he was in a giant graveyard and they realize that the last shard might be in the after life.
They traveled through the fire country, led by Naraku’s Saimyoushou. As they continue on, they come across two guards. As Inuyasha tries to walk though, they fight him since they are the gatekeepers into the underworld. He eneded up fighting and breaks the chain on the door. After it opened, Kagura tries flying through but everything that entered were turned into to stone. As the doors closed, Kagome sees the Shikon Jewel beyond the doorway. The group suddenly sees these birds around and as they fight them, their leader, Princess Abi arrived but the Saimyoushou show that they are fighting for Naraku.
They try to find the nest of the demon birds only to met Hakudoshi on Entei. They are trying to save the group of humans and despite their efforts, its not looking to good. Inuyasha tried to break the barrier when a sacred arrow slices through it. Kagura saved Hakudoshi and Inuyasha was finally able to kill the horse. There were rumors about a Saint so the group traveled to find them. They discovered that the Saint was trying to find the bird’s nest. They were attacked by demons but Kagome noticed a soul collector and moved off to determine if Kikyou was still alive.
Kagome discovered Kikyou’s body flowing in the water. She was told that only she has the power to save Kikyou. Her body being from a sacred shrine was not destroyed, as a regular body would have been. However, if Kagome doesn’t save Kikyou by sunset, then the miasma will finally destroy her. Kagome immediately jumps in and uses some of the soil from her gravesite to push into her wounds. It takes a lot of energy to save Kikyou and after experiencing the other miko’s memories of her death, Kagome passed out. When she awaked, Kikyou noticed her and she leaves. Kagome felt as though Kikyou was testing her and she became angry and as Inuyasha arrived, she explained that Kikyou was here and she was okay but she just left. Being upset, Kagome told Inuyasha that she hated him. Inuyasha a little bit later said that Kikyou was fine and he would remain by Kagome’s side but he demanded that she took back what she had said before.
Kagome was handed an arrow from Kikyou that had been rubbed with soil from Onigumo’s grave. As they arrived at the nest, they see him a giant bird demon. Naraku is swallowed but comes out of the head and he kills Abi. He chops off the head a river of blood was formed. Naraku explained that the birds reside in hell so the river of blood was the way into the underworld. When they arrive, they find Hosenki who created the pearl in Inuyasha’s eye, in the stomach of Inuyasha’s father. Hosenki was a skull with diamonds shards surrounding him. It is he, who contained the last shard. Kagome shoots two arrows at the Sacred Jewel that is starting to become tainted from the influence of Naraku’s shards. After Kagome shot her second arrow, Inuyasha preformed the wind scar, which damaged some of the shards. Naraku noticing this weakness took the shard from Hosenki.
Naraku began to fight Sesshomaru who arrived and Inuyasha took the challenge to slice through Hosenki. Kagome watches as Sesshomaru slices Naraku, and caused miasma to start flowing around. Kagome started purifying it with arrows but soon she ran of out of them. Inuyasha decided to use to wind scar to break up the miasma and diamond spears shoot out of it and impaled Naraku. Sesshomaru attacked and Kagome attacked using Kikyou’s arrow and Naraku was hit and he vanished and Kagome retrieved the shard.
Shippo became infected by a parasite and after destroying it, there was a giant nest of them. That many showed that a large demon had moved on. They all decide that Naraku was behind it. They end up meeting a giant demon mountain named Gakusanjin who spoke of his anger of Naraku. Naraku took his Fuyouheki that causes a demon to be undetectable. Gakusanjin gave them some crystals which will disappear if they were in close proximity to the Fuyouheki. Kagome and her friends arrived to see Kikyou imprisoned by talons from Naraku who escaped when they arrived. After discovering dead demons that seem to becoming more and more human, they discover a creature named Moryoumaru. While fighting it, Hakudoshi protected Moryoumaru when Inuyasha attacked it using his adamant barrage and they escaped.
They come across Toryomaru who was a Buddhist priest and who could shoot light out of his right arm. He has several young followers who used Gyoja pots that he filled from his arm. Kagome and her friends destroy the enemy. Kagome ran to help Goryoumaru just as Kagura starts fighting again. She checked to fight and found herself locked to Goryoumaru. Something about that caused Kagome concern but he shot a hole in Kagura’s chest and she flies off. Inuyasha smelled blood from the temple so they rush back to find Hakudoshi murdering Goryoumaru. Kanna walked out holding the infant but Kanna and Hakudoshi run away although through her frustration, Kagura told them that the infant was Naraku’s heart. Kagura lead Kagome and her friends to a stone ogre. As they enter the stomach, Inuyasha unleashes the Wind Scar. Naraku caused the demon to come back to life and laughs as he tells them at they will be devoured. Miroku tried to used his wind tunnel and he sucked in some of the poisonous insects. Kagome tried to shoot him but he disappears. The acid dripping from the ceiling and the walls causes a miasma. It’s hard to breathe and Miroku tried to put up a barrier but he’s weak and it quickly comes down. Inuyasha covered them with his kimono and tried to use the Adamant Barrage but it failed. He uses the Shikon Jewel Shard that Kagome has on his sword, but the demons aura makes it hard for him to fight his own demonic nature. Uncaring about the acid falling on her or the acid on the floor, she ran and hugged him as she pleaded for him to remain with her. Her feet were burned and the pain caused her knees to buckle but she refused to let go. Her presence caused the Jewel shard to purify and at Inuyasha requested she holds him as he uses the Tensaiuga to destroy the demon. Kagome looses consciousness and after she regains it back in Kaede’s hut, Inuyasha speaks with her up in a tree. She tells him that she’s glad that she’s by his side.
[ Personality ] :
Kagome is an intelligent, strong-willed, independent, stubborn, sweet, caring and loving young woman. She is brave, loyal and generally an overall caring and compassionate person who looks out for everyone around her. She has a strong sense of justice and she will always look out for the innocent.
She only shows fear only when someone is in danger. She was pulled into the well and although she was not sure where she was, she was not afraid. By trying to use her intelligence, she tried to find her way home and ended up finding Inuyasha. After figuring out what was happening, she decided to go home when Yura of the Hair arrived. During the fight with Yura, Inuyasha was wounded and although she did not think highly of him, it did not stop her from trying to help him.
Her bravery is astounding. Unless told otherwise by Inuyasha, she will stand by his side. She often times refused to be pulled out of danger especially if there is a risk that he might be hurt. When he battled Ryukotsusei, he turned into a full demon and she wanted to stay close to him. Fortunately, the situation changed when he grabbed his sword and he was able to defeat the demon. She is never intimidated as can be seen when Tokajin held her and instead of being afraid, she showed her concern for Inuyasha as she started demanding answers out of Tokajin.
Although she is brave and intelligent, she is also strong-willed and stubborn. When she saw that she was no longer in Modern Japan, her first comment was “Well Toto, it looks like we are not in Tokyo anymore.” Her sarcasm can be seen and as can her quick anger. When InuYasha angers her and gets in her way, she can be heard saying “Sit!” and this causes him to crash onto the ground.
She loves InuYasha with her whole heart and although she is aware of it, she also acknowledges that it will be hard. She shows her strength of character when she is left behind as InuYasha chases after Kikyo. She shows his displeasure but it hurts her more then he could even begin to guess. Despite all of this, she knows that her place is by his side.
[ Strengths/Weaknesses ] :
Strengths: She is an extremely strong female and a strong sense of justice. She wants to bring down Naraku despite the fact that he has not technically done anything against her. She always looks out for others. Her sweet and compassionate nature tends to cause others to open to her like Inuyasha. She also has the strength that she can sense the sacred jewel shards. Her ability to sense jewel shards when they are close and can lead the others in the direction of the shards. She also has the ability to shoot a sacred arrow.
Weakness: She has very bad luck. Whenever she is running away, she always falls. She does tend to have a quick temper, which can cause problems between herself and Inuyasha. She sometimes allows her love for her friends to overcome her good sense such as running to defend Inuyasha after he turned into a full demon and Sesshomaru brought her down.

S"OWWW!" She cried out as she woke up. She kept her eyes closed for a second more since she was feeling slightly dizzy. "Inuyasha! What happened! What did you..." She stopped mid-sentence as she opened her eyes and realized immediately that he was not standing next her. As she glazed around her dumbly, she realized that she was in a completely different place. "How did I get here?" She sat up slightly and stared at the unfamiliar buildings. "They seem almost...like those in my era...but I'm not home. Where am I?"
She tried to stand up but grimaced as her head throbbed so she sat down for a few seconds and waited for it pass. She tried to stand again and this time she was able to do so. She needed to figure out what was going on and how she could get back. "The Jewel Shards....are gone." She could not sense them so she knew that they were gone when she woke up.
She realized that it could be a trick to gain her jewel shards. "Naraku can create illusions...and he has been after my jewel shards...but he can't create a city...can he?" She stayed still and thought about and it made the most sense. "Naraku! You are despicable!" She stared around her and realized that it was an amazing illusion but she would not ever tell him that. "Inuyasha will come for me! He will get you Naraku!"
