I just finished reading Mike Resnick's "Soothsayer."  I loved the minimalist space-western tall-tale style.  I really want to find a copy of "Santiago" now.  I also think that I'm going to try writing a short Resnickian piece.  Alas, I don't think I'm fast enough on the Alphagrip to write fiction with it yet.  Perhaps soon.

So A-Rod took steroids while in Texas.  While I have my own thoughts on this, sometimes I like to think about these things from the perspective of my seventh graders.  While eavesdropping, I hear some of them call him a cheater.  More of them simply don't care.  Then again, a fifth of them are on performance enhancing drugs themselves.  Who cares ( Read more... )

Well, my alphagrip arrived today.  We'll see how this goes.  Learning to type from scratch will really test my patience.  This entry has taken 15 mins so far.  Anyone know a good learn to type program?  I tried the Typing of The Dead demo, but it wasn't basic enough.  I think this will do it for night one.

Well, after debating it for more than a year after first reading about it, I finally decided to purchase an Alphagrip iGrip.  I spend too much time hunched over my keyboard and it's killing my back.  We'll see if I can finally get myself to lean back in the chair with some decent posture and teach myself to type on this thing.
