Tomorrow's the big day!

I'll be leaving my house around 6am, and I'll be heading to Raleigh, NC to meet up with my glorious U2 pals for a reunion of epic proportions! I haven't seen Kim since '93, Dianne since '01 (& that was too brief), and Lyn since '92. The only plans I know for sure are meeting them at the hotel for breakfast (it'll probably be just me and Dianne ( Read more... )

Thanks my dear! I'm hoping it will be a good time. U2 (well, Bono's voice really) doesn't sound as good as they used to, but I'm sure I'll be a blubbering mess regardless. LOL

I'm not even really a U2 fan but I'm sure they put on an amazing performance live with or without his voice being there.

It should be a blast! I randomly overheard these two older ladies talking today when I was in a bookstore, one of them was showing the other photos on her camera and she was talking about a concert - it was the U2/Muse show in VA last night. I butted in and told them I was going to see them tomorrow, and it turned out the lady had seen U2 8 times over the years - she was so badass! She said Muse was amazing too. Hooray for random encounters with awesome people (something that almost NEVER happens to me). I bought the two most recent Muse cds today too - TOTAL RADITUDE. They were always one of those bands that I'd hear random songs from and think, "yeah, I could seriously fangirl over this". Well, I think that's gonna happen tomorrow night. :oD

You're so lucky! I'm jealous! Regardless that I can't afford the show, Muse isn't even opening for U2 on the west coast.

I met someone who's seen U2 40 times, various people in England have seen Muse 60 + times. Can you imagine?

wow have a great time in Raleigh and with your friends. and of course seeing U2 - how awesome! the only time I saw them live was in 1983 in Red Rocks (the infamous Red Rocks show), and it was amazing. but I'm sure they can still rock!

will be excited to hear about it later.

yes, it was the very first concert I ever went to when I was 15 years old. It rained all day, but it was a pretty incredible experience. I consider myself lucky.

how was the U2 show the other day? did you finally get there? i remember reading on facebook you were stuck in traffic.

YES! I am so excited you guys are seeing U2. I can not wait to hear all about it. We are going in 16 days and I am starting to get way excited.

If I had a PS3 I wuold play Beatles Rock Band, but Erin uses a XBox 360. I can only play on easy though. Still isn't it the best game ever? :D

I am sorry you went through that. My friend Erin was shocked when we watched the news footage from Raleigh showing the roads. I felt bad.

Although with this strep throat I am not making a good start, because I am going to be flat broke.
