I am preparing to walk a two day marathon and a half (39 miles) walkathon to raise money to find a cure for breast cancer and to raise funds for women who, like me, might have a lot to live for (small children, etc.) and yet not have the money or medical insurance to cover their treatment were they to find themselves with breast cancer

i have to talk to J... we just donated to one of his colleagues who is walking, but i know we will donate... just need to see how much... if you don't see a donation from Lela within the next week, please remind me. i sometimes forget what i'm doing. :0)

I'm not sure why it's a marathon and a half but I think maybe it's meant to reflect the kind of challenge going through breast cancer imposes? But that might also be a stretch of my own imagination...
